“The staff are super friendly and the restaurant is kept very clean; you can see the kitchen is nice and tidy. The food is okay though, and there aren't many great American-Chinese restaurants in Waynesboro that I would recommend. I think things are bland to meet older American palettes' needs. It just lacks flavor more often than not.

Vegetarian options: You can omit animal proteins and I believe they had tofu options.“

“During the covid 19 pandemic we supported the restaurant several times. Tonight we waited longer as expected, that wasn't the problem. When we got home mind you we don't live in town we came home to find our order wrong. I called in explaining what the issue was and the young girl explained we would get a credit on our next order. I'm not too happy right now as this is not what we ordered and refuse to drive back down to the restaurant. I am mindful they are busy but please make sure to respect people's orders, repeat them back and check with the customer before giving the order.“

“Best sushi ever! My family and I used to live in Hagerstown in 2015-2016 and this was our go-to-spot. We moved almost 2 hours away and whenever we could we would come back because we had not and still have not found a place that could match. We moved back to Frederick in 2021 so now we try to come more often especially now that indoor dining is back. I have referred family and friends here and they agree that the sushi is spectacular.

Our go-to rolls are the super crunch roll and add shrimp to it and the salmon tempura and add cream cheese to it. Their beef and broccoli is delicious as well. Cannot go wrong with anything you choose.“

“Haven't realized how long I've been coming to this place till just now. It's been over 20 years, and they still make some of the best food around town. It's saddens me to read some of these reviews, a lot of them complaining about cleanliness of the place. I don't know when they were here, I don't know what they saw when they were here, but I have never experienced dirt in here. The space is always been clean every time I come in here. Yes, it's not the brightest and well lit looking spot. Yes, some of the lights in the ceiling tiles look like they could use a little spritz of lumens and freshening up. But, no I am never seen dirty or grungy as one reviewer said. Then again, I'm not sure what that review was comparing it to.However, I didn't come here for the ambience or decor. I come here for the delicious food that I've been eating for over two decades. It's hard to find a family owned business still successful in these days, especially after the pandemic that closed many restaurant doors. The simple fact they are still open after two plus decades and a pandemic is a testament to quality food and good service. Because there are certainly no shortage of Asian cuisine competition in Washington county. Many Asian restaurants have opened and closed within that time, but China Wok is still standing, and for good reason. Their customers who have been with them for a long time like myself, come back often because we get good food at a good price and you can't beat that combo. They have all the iconic favorites on the menu, but if there's something that you want and it's not on the menu, chances are they'll make it for you. What more do you want? Seriously! What more do you want?

Vegetarian options: It's fair to say that most Asian cuisine restaurants have a lot of vegetarian options and China Wok is no exception. I have had the vegetarian tofu dish before and it was lovely.

Parking: They're in a shopping center with ridiculous amounts of parking. It's one of the biggest parking lots in Washington county.“

“Since covid, the wait times have been super long. But, I will say, it's totally worth it. We have waited 3 hours for our order and once we got it, our cravings were satisfied. This is clearly a family owned and operated business, struggling to meet the demands of their customers. Yeah, the wait time can be long, but the quality is beyond up to par compared to anywhere in Frederick. We will continue to wait a minimum of 1 hour to support this business as long as they continue to provide food that makes our hearts happy“
