“Recently got a geode cake done here for one of my close friends’ birthdays. It came out absolutely beautiful, the attention to detail was incredible and my friends raved about the taste and appearance! Would definitely recommend them, looking forward to using them for the next event I go to!“

“This is a great bakery to go to when you have a sweet tooth and want a gourmet pick me up. I got the chocolate mousse cake & a Paris-Brest with hazelnut crème. They both were well made and very filling; so the price is justifiable for the quality and taste. I went in around 3:45pm on a Thursday and thought there wouldn’t be much of a selection to choose from, however there were a decent amount of desserts to decide upon. I look forward to dining in on the café side and ordering from their breakfast menu.“

“Stopped in on Good Friday while visiting family for Easter. Lots of great things to buy! They have everything from grocery items, pantry staples to deli meats and a Cafe on site with food and drink. Great place for families and the food at the Cafe was delicious! I only gave it 4 stars because the baked goods and items in the market were a little pricey to me but I like to support local whenever possible. Highly recommend the desserts! Out of this world.“

“A long time favorite for many locals for a very long time! Great, FRESHLY baked (on site) soft pretzels. In addition to the "standard" pretzel shape, Smittie's offers large pretzel "sticks" and bite-sized as well. (Also miscellaneous items like soda/ non alcoholic drinks).The location is a renovated, roadside type stand, (look for the white "lighthouse" on top) and has very friendly staff. Smittie's is well worth the time to stop in and enjoy a local, traditional treat.Smittie's is in the northern, rolling hills of York County, PA. The road (PA Route 74, just north of Dover, PA) is often used by area residents in the Autumn for good fall foliage viewing. The nearby Gifford Pinchot State Park is worth visiting for pretty views any time of year!NOTE: Parking is a bit tricky at times (just depends on random timing, space for a few cars) and is just off a well paved roadway (PA Route 74), northbound side. (The road is not divided, so you can access the parking lot from southbound or northbound).“

“Y'all.....the food in this cafe is never a disappointment! Today I decided to do the luau sammich. Look at this gorgeous sourdough...look at the amount of food in it! The little shop and other foods for purchase are a plus but definitely try something from their cafe!“

“The best doughnuts around. We go out of our way to get doughnuts from Maple Doughnuts specifically. They have so many flavors, and the glaze is very good. They seem to stay fresh longer than other doughnuts I’ve had, and the dough itself is second to none. My only complaint is that many times I’ve been in there the people aren’t all that friendly. They serve you, but generally hold a conversation with their coworkers or don’t speak at all while doing it. It doesn’t really bother me, but it can seem awkward.“

“For our wedding we wanted something different than a cake and these brownies were the perfect thing! We chose a wide assortment of flavors, and added some fresh cookies just for fun. They brought little goodie bags for guests to take extras home which was a nice touch. Huge hit!!“

“My wife and I stopped in and ordered a couple of BLT's with sesame bagels with plain cream cheese. They were amazing. crisp lettuce and perfect tomato along with crispy bacon. I'd eat this every morning if my heart could take it!“
