“Vino’s makes a Reuben that puts all other Reubens to shame. Ever since trying it, all other Reubens fall short. It easily beats out KJ’s Pickle Barrel and Pierce St Deli and even tops another really good local Reuben made by Goldstein’s Deli. Miller’s Bar in Charlottesville, VA has a really good Reuben, supposedly made famous by Dave Matthews, but it still can’t hold a candle to Vino’s.

I’ve tried a lot of their other menu items and have never been disappointed, but I probably won’t get around to trying anything else because of how good their Reuben is.

Vino’s does tend to get really busy and, because of their size and the high demand for their food, they do tend to get backed up, especially during the lunch rush. So, you may need to call several times before you’ll get through, but it’s worth it.“

“Listennnnnn....I was minding my business literally picking up food next door to this deli until someone told me to come and try it out. I was like im a definitely support. The owner is valid. He is so down to earth. I already knew walking in his deli gave me bodega vibes. I ordered the Honey Mustard Chopped Cheese and Baybeeeeeeee. That joint was bussing. The only thing I'm mad about was why I didn't order the hero lol. I took that first bite and I was dancing and hollering. This reminds me so much of NY. If you want to experience a NY bodega in WB, this the spot. The taste, the flavor, the bread was toasted lightly making it a perfect bite, the hospitality... 10/10.... I definitely recommend this place. Blessings to the owner and family. The food didn't make it home lol!!!!“

BLUE DELI Deli • $

“I'm not sure if I slept on this place for years or what. I have no idea when Peter's Deli became Blue Deli. All I can tell you is I have been getting cheesesteaks and italian subs in Wilkes Barre for 15 years and this place holds up with the best of them.

Vinos, Phillys Phinest, Philadelphia Subs, etc, Blue Deli is just as good if not subjectively better than them. I am half way through my italian sub and from the first bite it was fantastic. Corner store, quick in and out, proper pricing. This is easily a 5 star business in Wilkes Barre PA.“

“First time trying Wilkes-Barre Deli today. I've been following them on instagram for a bit and we had been meaning to try it based off just the photos for weeks.Very friendly staff, we were offered free coffee while we waited, which was not long at all. The two breakfast sandwiches were made to order and were awesome... the bacon egg and cheese on a plain bagel was great, I have zero criticism.I saw they had chicharrons and I had to get some to try. As soon as I got home I had to sample those first, it came with lime wedges and a green sauce. WOW... those were FREAKING AWESOME, tender meat, crispy skin, even plain they were great but with the lime and sauce... insane.. I wanted to eat the whole half pound before we even dug into the sandwiches. So glad I finally got around to going there. I'll be sure to go back when I can.Seem like very good people trying to bring the NYC deli experience finally to the valley. 10/10 guys!“
