“A nice casual and friendly experience! If you intend on visiting this establishment please expect to be approached by harmonious locals who may challange you to a friendly dart game! This multi-cultural and warming environment was truly an overwhelming experience. From the bartenders to the quality of the poolstick. This place was a great time. The dart board is truly a work of art. Down to the tips of the darts to the classy screen, clean bathrooms, and big tvs to watch the eagles game! Hardwood floor, to the smell of the chipping paint on the walls. This tavern hits like no other. I truly feel this is a place you would go as link from the legend of zelda. I wish i could give it 6 stars“

“Visited for lunch on a sunny Sunday. Solid wine and beer list and fantastic food! The only downside was that there is limited seating and we were near the windows. The sun was streaming in and there was no window shade. Not only were we warm, we ate the whole meal with the sun in our eyes! I’m hoping they fix this issue bc it’s an easy fix and the food was truly delicious“

“We love Spring House. The food, drinks and service are consistently top notch. Last night was a step backwards. We were greeted at the table by our server with bread and butter and asking if we wanted more than water to drink. In general the drinks took a while and so did the soup. We waited quite a while for someone to take the empty soup bowls and ask if we wanted a water refill or another drink. The soup bowls were taken when the entrees were served. There was someone nearby who was setting the table next to us but she was only interested a table that was still empty when we left. We remain fans of the restaurant and will be back but clearly not a good moment.“

“Great food, great service, great experience. I highly recommend if you actually eat and try different food and you're not that, "chicken strips and French fries person everywhere you goParking: Only thing bad if I can even complain about this is parking but it's Philly. I would suggest giving yourself time and you might have to walk but other than that (which is really nothing) it's a great place“

“What a phenomenal find! The bar (craft cocktails), building, restaurant is gorgeous. Old stone mixed with modern posh amenities. The food is TRUE & authentic Italian- my son closed his eyes at bread course (grilled Roman bread with ricotta & honey for A Scarpetta) and said, “mom this tastes like Italy!” We shared and tasted so many things, antipasto, starters, the salads were fresh, perfect vinaigrettes, the pastas & sauces all legit, homemade from scratch and perfectly Al dente. They dry-age their beef too which is exceptional. For dessert we had tiramisu budino & affogato- a perfect ending. We will be back and would recommend to friends. The staff was great too, just the right amount of attentiveness. It was a joyful & delicious experience at Tresini.“

“We love Steam Pub. Thank you so much to Chris for making things right with our order we had from takeout. We thought things were missing and Chris went above and beyond to fix it. It turned out that it was our mistake and when we went back to give back the gift card and wine he had given us he would not take it back. We go to Steam almost weekly and this kindness and amazing customer service guarantees we will continue to be loyal customers. Our sincerest apologies to all who prepped our order correctly. It was our oldest son’s mistake for not seeing the second bag. Thanks again and see you soon“

“Just went to the Grill. Food was good. Clam chowder very rich as it should be. Asian salad a little heavy on the dressing but good. The Clothes Pin cocktail was ok but not exceptional; the st germain liquor was less evident than I'd hoped for. Coffee was good.Warning. While there is a ramp up to the door, the actual dining room is down a significant wide spiral stairs. There are railings so it us managable by someone with some mobility.Wheelchair accessibility: While there is a ramp up to the door, the actual dining room is down a significant wide spiral stairs. “So back when I used to be in the area frequently, I had heard horror stories about this place... but that was pre-COVID. Now, I don't see what the rumors were all about; place is clean and easy to find, parking is sizable, pretty spacious & can hold a large party (with call ahead reservations of course) and staff at the bar area were personable enough“

“It took far too long to get here, but I was finally able to hit McNally’s Tavern in Chestnut Hill for “The Schmitter”. There were quite a few things on this menu that looked good so don’t be surprised to see a follow up on this at some point, but had to talk about this sandwich and experience specifically. So we went on a Friday night around 7pm (had just landed in Philly at the airport) and the place was packed! We were lucky and a couple was leaving shortly after we told the hostess about our party so we sat fairly quickly. Cool vibe in the place, tin mugs hanging from the ceiling and sports on all the tv’s. Like I said though, crazy packed so it was loud and a bit chaotic. The Schmitter is a pretty odd sandwich honestly given what’s on it. Basically a cheesesteak with onions, tomato’s, salami, and their sauce that is similar to a Big Mac sauce. I’d never have thought to add salami to a cheesesteak, but here we are. The flavor was quite good, it was on a round Kaiser (you can order long roll if you want) which reminded me of donkeys place a bit, and the tomato added a nice freshness as well. The price is what you’d expect, maybe a tad bit more, for the sandwich and it comes with basic ridged chips. My girlfriend also got a chicken cheesesteak that was good but looked awful. They use a broiler/salamander to melt the cheese and it came out looking burnt, but it tasted fine. All in all I enjoyed it and will come back again and get another or sample other items. The Schmitter at McNally’s Tavern - Didn’t Suck!“

“good spot to eat in the backroom which hardly anyone knows about LKim is great good food . Bartenders need to learn how to work the remote for the music , It is Bose system that you can adjust for each end of the bar and the right channel is off along with the bass . lol I always listen to music when I am there .“
“The fourth star is out of sentiment for it's heyday which has passedIf you can get in it is a very unique, quite large multi lounged bar/private club with a separate pool table room, large rap around screened back porch and a Huge backyard lounge.Only downsides are that the dozen video games in what is now a still cool pool table lounge, the video games are gone.I'm also not sure of the fate of the huge second floor bar lounge and dancefloor.“
“A few updated options : shrimp tacos are actually really good , they give you 3 and they'll fill you up ! French onion: avoid , not good. The French onion isn't anything I would order here ever again, weak broth, skimpy on the cheese. It wasn't terrible but it wasn't good .. stick with the bat food!“

“This undiscovered, moderately-priced gem of an Italian restaurant on Bethlehem Pike in Flourtown is the real deal. It offers authentic, super-delicious food and an expansive selection—pasta, meat, seafood , vegetarian, you name it. The sauces could have been made by my Italian-born mother-in-law, yep, that good! “Steamed oysters were worth the price, just not as good as I assumed it would be, but honestly, nothing to complain about. Girlfriend got a southwest salad, which was huge and better then expected. Service was great. Atmosphere was calm and quiet which I like. Only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is because I expected pasta with the oysters and didn't get any. When I mentioned it to the server I was told she didn't know I wanted the entire and that they weren't suppose to serve entires that late which is completely acceptable because it was 10 on a Saturday night BUT it didn't mentioned that on the menu before I ordered and was expecting the pasta to fill me up so I left a bit hungry still. I'd go back and try something else for sure.“

“Merriam-Websters collegiate dictionary defines hospitality as the following:": the activity or business of providing services to guests in hotels, restaurants, bars, etc."Hospitality is the bare minimum of what I received during the shift that Jessica and Kathleen worked. I would say the shift wasn't excellent, I would say it was perfect. I would say that this bar doesn't set the bar for service when these two work, I would say it is the measuring stick that the bar (on a limbo level) needs to be set at.Not only did the (beautiful by the way) bartenders make me feel welcome, they made me feel like family. I honestly couldn't imagine another place I'd rather be on a Monday night. Home? For what? A disappointing evening of marital stress and ultimate regret? I'd rather be here, at a place where like Norm, Sam and Diane in another town many years before established a repor where everybody truly knows your name. And it's not just the service. The food. The creative specials along with the iconic staples keep this bar hip and fresh. 20/10. Chef Alan kills it.But overall, this is the place you need to be. I'll probably come back. I'll probably bring a friend or two. But if I don't, I want my review etched in the halls of history long after we are all gone, this is the place to be. These are the people to see. They say to be the man you have to beat the man - find me a bar better, find me a bar that beats this place, and I'll try it.“
“The Bar tenders know what they are doing. The margaritas are superb. The food is supplied by Coyotl next door and the food is hands down some of the best authentic Mexican food I have eaten in my time. Dorothy and Christian are awesome! Conversed with me and my friend and kept the friendly vibes going all night long.“

“Ordered a pizza for takeout. Pizza was not bad coming from a bar. It is a thin crust pizza with the right amount of cheese, soft and flaky. No seasoning on the pizza and the tomato sauce a little sweet. However, it is cooked perfectly with no burnt marks. Noticed they had Miller Light cans for $3.00. The pizza cost $10.00, which is good value.“

“I came in on Saint Patrick’s day with my family. We had an extraordinary time there. The portions were very large which is great for hefty eaters or people who simply want to save their food. The food was absolutely delicious. I had the kids Mac and cheese with applesauce (don’t judge) and it was delightful. The applesauce was slightly crunchy, and had cinnamon sprinkled overtop. The Mac and cheese was delicious and cheesy, I could hardly finish it all. I also had a Shirley temple with it, which tasted amazing. It tasted a bit like strawberry syrup mixed with lemonade and sprite. The service was excellent. The waiters and waitresses were so polite, and since I went there on Saint Patrick’s day, the entire staff was dressed in leprechaun outfits. They were very friendly. The atmosphere was very light and positive, with an older style feel. I 100% recommend going here.Vegetarian options: I personally don’t recommend for vegetarians to go here, as most of Phil’s is centered off of meat, but they do have plenty of other options that don’t involve meat.Dietary restrictions: The staff was very accommodating and would definitely be willing to accommodate to dietary restrictions.Parking: The amount of parking space was surprising, since we went in on a crowded day. Yet we were able to park our car comfortably outside with not too much of a walking distance.Kid-friendliness: They were so polite to us kids, we got crayons and they did not judge the awful drawings we made.Wheelchair accessibility: They had no steps there, and the distance between the parking and the building is a very small and flat area of land.“

“For a fast food seafood restaurant this place is legit good. The only thing I have tried I didn't like is the Mac n cheese. The fries and sweet potato fries are delicious. “Came in for lunch and sat at the bar. It's a pretty large restaurant. The bar side has a pool table. There's also an arcade for kids. We ordered wings, French dip, and pork belly tacos. All were delicious. The wings were huge, crispy, and the Sriracha chili sauce was awesome! Food came out quickly. The bartender was pleasant and attentive. The total bill for lunch with drinks was on par with other restaurants in the area. We'll be back when we're in the area again.“

“For a place that's tucked away on the second floor of a nondescript-looking building in Olney, Cafe Liz is a hidden gem to find in Philly. I didn't know what to expect before going there, so I was pleasantly surprised by my experience. Cafe Liz offers excellent food in a charming, intimate setting and the service there was amazing. Our table ordered a variety of appetizers to share, including shrimps with garlic sauce, Portuguese sausage, clams casino, and fried calamari. Out of these, the Portuguese sausage made the biggest impression on me with its (literally) flaming hot presentation and flavor. Granted that I haven't been to a Portuguese restaurant before, this has set a shiny standard of what I will expect of the same dish at the other establishments. Interestingly, the sausage also paired well with the shrimps in garlic sauce. The other appetizers were just blah to me compared to these. What stole the show during the pre-entree course, though, was their bread. For something that was provided for free, each loaf was such a delightful treat with its crunchy golden exterior and warm, soft center. I wouldn't mind eating a dozen of them in one sitting since they were that good. As for the main dish, I opted for their Paelha Valenciana which came with a mix of seafood along with chicken, sausage, and pork. This dish was fantastic, but their clams were a bit overcooked since they were a little hard to chew. I still loved everything else about it though. For dessert, their flan was silky and delicious. I loved that it wasn't overly sweet, so it served as a great finale to an equally great meal. Service-wise, we had a world-class gentleman who provided us with great care throughout the dinner. He was always attentive in replacing our dinnerwares and refilling our water efficiently. Our food also came out pretty quickly after we ordered them. I'm thrilled to find this place and I'd love to try out their other dishes next time.“

“A wonderful 5-star lunch experience ! Coming back from a mid-day center city concert, decided to stop in @ Tavern On the Hill rather than MacNally's...SO glad we did ! Bartender Mackenzie couldn't have been better : super-efficient AND super-personable ! I've had many excellent meals here before, lunch and dinners, today was no exception. Straying from our regular menu favorites ( tough to pass on the always great burger or turkey'n' brie sandwich),we both had the same "special"...a smoked kielbasa/ kraut sandwich. Not an item I'd usually rave over, it was just perfect...the best I've ever had. Great kielbasa, nicely toasted roll, homemade-tasting kraut...and even a high-quality tasty brown mustard. You just won't go wrong here... where else would somebody rave about a kielbasa sandwich ??? Can't wait to return for lunch OR dinner...“

“Never disappointed here. Ahi and calamari are fantastic. Awesome outside eating area.UPDATE: They never really seemed to recover from covid. They close so super early that you have to find someplace else in town. Their kitchen never seems to be open past 9:00 and on sundays, including St. Patrick's day, they closed at 7:45.
