“To start, do yourself a favor and try escargot for your first time! Any of the beef options are delicious(though I get the marinated tips) and always pair with a side of the PA famous “Captiva Sauce”! All homemade and all traditional and delicious. On top of that the tiramisu is to die for. All in all you can miss here of the menu and the specials are always changing. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND GIVE IT A GO!!“

“I ordered a couple trays of pizza today, and when I stopped to pick them up….they fine folks at D’arc’s had given my pizzas to another person.

But….they took this as an opportunity to build relationships with customers!!

(Not that I needed help. I’ve been eating their pizza for 40+ years!).

“Couldn't be Happier! Had a Wonderful 90th Birthday party for my Father! The owners and staff went out of their way to make sure we had OUTSTANDING customer service! The owner was just so sweet and the staff so kind and willing to go above and beyond to ensure our event was a success. Definitely 10/10 for service and the food was WONDERFUL! Thank you all for helping make the party a success! Will definitely be back for dinner again. If I could give it more stars I would! Highly recommend!!!“

“Vegan pizza! Vegan Stromboli! Our favorite was the vegan pizza💜 The dough is great 😋 sauce is flavorful & they made it perfect! We came here Wednesday 5/1. They have a Vegan & Gluten Free menu. We didn’t try the GF choices (cauliflower crust) but good to know! Would definitely recommend for vegans, vegetarians, gluten free people, etc OR any1 who wants to try something new😄…waitress said she loves the smell of vegan cheese but hasn’t tried it BUT now she will 👍 The indoor/outdoor seating is nice, we sat on the border of both lol which was lovely. “I love Watami! I make sure to visit every time I come home to Johnstown. The sushi is always delicious and fresh and the staff is so nice. Portions are always big and filling.“

“TRULY enjoyed my time there. The bar has updated decor and lives up to its name as a sports bar. A bunch of TVs and general sporty feel inside. Marc and Keith were exceptionally friendly with the drinks being reasonably priced and strong. Highly recommend for a game night. And the "crack" fries were DELICIOUS!!! Definitely a good spot for a date as well as they have smaller tables away from the bar so you can engage in conversation.

“Very kind owner that does a one-man job. He does everything himself including hosting, cooking, and cleaning. Because of this, please be patient when you visit. Also, he is a bit hard of hearing so you need to speak up a bit so he can hear you. I highly recommend this restaurant. “This was the first time at this restaurant. The food was very tasty. I ordered the chicken basket, I was surprised at how large the chicken tenders were and cooked perfectly, the fries were also good. Nothing against bar food, but it was typical "bar food" it was very good though. Had a pitcher of beer which unfortunately wasn't very cold to begin with and just got even warmer more quickly due to the fact it was ridiculously hot inside the restaurant. Apparently, the air conditioner was not in working order. It almost made it unbearable to actually enjoy the meal. I'm sure they'll try to remedy that soon. I will say however the young lady who was our server and the other servers were very friendly, attentive and polite, a big plus for any establishment in my book.“

My first seafood sub since they had left Altoona, and that was along time ago. My plan was to save half for the lunch the next day . I toasted it in 5 minutes. ?“

“I had chicken parm. 2 pieces of chicken on a bed of spaghetti with their own marinara sauce. It comes with a house salad and a slice of garlic bread. Soooo good. The waitress was kind, courteous, and fast. Reasonable prices and they have specials of the day. It looks the same as I remember it as a little girl.“

“I will always prefer the Italian Oven over any Olive Garden any day of the week. The Italian Oven tastes more like authentic Italian cuisine and has a much better taste overall, in my opinion of course. But it doesn't taste mass produced and has more flavor I think. The proportions are more than generous as well, I don't think I've ever left without a to go box. Would definitely recommend!“
