“What the hell happened to this place. Oh yeah, the Covid outbreak. We have been to Victory Pig several times. It’s been an institution since 1942. Friends of ours turned us on to it years back. We had my brother in law in town (post Covid) and had been telling him about their fantastic pizza for years. He wanted to try it so we took the over hour long drive to Wyoming PA. We get there expecting to have a seat and a meal. To our surprise (we should’ve checked before we left) they were only serving take out orders in the parking lot. To be fair they have always done this but you used to be able to sit inside. You pull up, the waitress comes to your car, she takes your order and you pay and wait. She comes back out with your food and you’re on your way. Well we didn’t want to travel all that way and not have the pizza so we ordered a couple of pies and went to a near by park and ate. Man it was as good as I remember it. My brother in law loves it. The sauce is slightly sweet, the cooked onions with the sauce under the cheese is phenomenal. Super crispy dough bottom and soft (but not to soft) top. They also have pulled pork sandwiches, fries and other items but we don’t mess with that. We go straight for the pizza. They actually will deliver to anywhere in the world. At least I think they still do ?. I hope they open up there seating again. Honestly I haven’t checked lately, I will. The interior has let’s say a nostalgic vibe.“

“THE DUKE! Don't you dare drive by without stopping for a Duke. My boyfriend and I are moving back to this area and it’s the number one thing we are looking forward to. Both of us were born and raised just outside of Philadelphia and I lived in SP for many years. We know a good cheesesteak. We both believe this to be a very hearty contender in the race for the best steak sandwich. I’ve considered making t-shirts that say, “we moved back here for THE DUKE”.Please give our new family free DUKES for life!?“

“So where to start. I was greeted promptly at the door I guess by the manager which was was perfect. I decided to sit at the bar.The waitress was okay I guess. I ordered the fried pickles and 16 wings. The pickles we dry and crispy. ?. Literally the worst fried pickles I've had, but edible. JUMBO WINGS ARE NOT SO JUMBO AT LEAST THE BONELESS WINGS AREN'T. They came out warm and eventually became cold while eating.I just ordered another 6 piece. Traditional wings this time. I'll update to let yall know if they JUMBO or not. Smh. Ima throw a photo in just to show that I'm actually here. Food is mediocre and alcohol should be the only thing you come here for.Edit: After getting the traditional wings I'll bump my rating to 4 stars. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONRY GETTING BONELESS WINGS.“

“Before the last time at Texas Roadhouse I would say the food was great. For the 1st time I picked out my steak but what I got wasn't what I ordered. Being tired from traveling for 10 hours I just wasn't going to argue. It was the worst strip steak I have ever had.“

“Longhorn is by far my favorite restaurants in the WB area. You really get your money's worth. I tried all of the appetizers, and I tell you they don't disappoint you. By far, my favorite is their strawberry shortcake cake ? I ordered it twice, and it gets better every time I eat ?. I can say the staff is amazing and very patient. The manager is very nice alway comes around and greet the guest making you feel very comfortable while you enjoy your dinner , one manager was so nice she gave my child a free snack once he was done with his meal, that was a great experience ? I can say Longhorn steakhouse is one of my favorite restaurants. I recommend it to everyone who wants to have a great tasty mealKid-friendliness: Very kid friendly staff was amazing with my son even gave him a free snack“

“Food was REALLY good BUT the oxtails were too spicy. EVERYTHING was on point from the cabbage , rice and peas & plantains even the oxtails! Very tender but the spice can overpower it. Restaurant should consider whatever spice they include in them because oxtails aren’t supposed to be spicy. Overall great place and service !“

“Small dive bar type place with a griddy ambiance. However, their food incredible! The chicken dinner was not too moist and not too dry, but perfect. Also, it had a flavorful dry rub and a delicious bbq sauce on the side. The brisket sandwich was very good as well.“

“First time at Backwoods last night. It was a nice drive to get there. Upon walking in we were greeted by very friendly staff and seated immediately. The waitress was friendly and came over within 1-2mins of being seated. The drink menu was extensive and many great food choices which made it hard to pick from. We ordered the smoked wing appetizer with Thai chili sauce which was excellent, and perfectly prepared. Came with HOUSE MADE blue cheese and boy you could tell, best blue cheese I’ve had. Cocktails were made well, not watered down. Ribs with cornbread and coleslaw and the weekend special, mini beef Wellington were our meals. Ribs were dry rubbed and came with a side of sauce (again house made and you could tell by how tasty it was) which is how I prefer them (no everyone agrees so be aware). The ribs were perfectly tender and REAL smoked just like the wings. The cornbread was spot on. Now be aware that the coleslaw is vinegar based which is super hard to find around here but was excellent (not everyone will like it). The beef Wellington was amazing, and being such a hard dish to pull off, the chef should be proud. The staff is extremely attentive. We were checked on frequently but not to the point where it was annoying. If any of the staff saw a dirty glass or plate it was quickly removed from our table, not just by our waitress. The staff was dressed nicely and looked professional. The owner was on-site checking on everything.A very pleasant experience that proved backwoods to be a hidden gem. We will be back! Keep up the high standards, it shows in the food coming out of the kitchen!“
