“Stopped in to get info on joining. They were very kind, have is she there information we needed and allowed us to stay and have a meal at the bar. There was a live band, an older crowd and the crab bisque was incredible. Membership is less expensive if you're over 35, and don't expect to see many people there under that age. It's a nice change from other local spots; more refined, more mature crowd, and no crazy shenanigans. Great place to take the family for dinner, and they also offer corporate memberships for businesses.“

They know how to pour, what to pour, and who to pour it for. I never name names, but in this case, I will set a new precedent. Kudos to Kyle, Paige, Bailey, and Ryan. Each of whom, it would seem, come from different worlds and life experiences. All of whom are going places, be it in academic education, hospitality, entrepreneurship, or perhaps being the best at building a conventional life with style, love of life, family, and humanity in the aggregate. Dare I say it, the last of a dying breed.I've met some of the most fun and prolific characters at 24 who've made me feel at home in Pennsylvania, although I am from afar, i.e. Philly . The kind of folks who go out of their way to say hello as they make their way to the bar.Sometimes, after work, feeling a bit peckish, I will peruse the menu and discover some great interpretations of salads (Caesar) and snacks (Truffle fries) that hit the spot and keep me busy enjoying one of my favorite past times: eating. And from what I've seen at various and sundry tables at various times through the course of any given evening, this kitchen delivers hearty inspired entrees sure to give you reason to give positive word of mouth with regard to culinary talent. “Just moved into the area and Mari’s is going to be the place to go for me. I love trying different beers more than getting a lot of one particular beer. Mari’sis the only beer store I’ve seen where virtually everything can be found in a single. Most places take the more expensive craft beers and keep them in 4/6 packs but at Mari’s you can either get that or buy a single can or bottle. It’s genius really. I’m way more likely to buy many singles than spend $20 on a craft four pack I may not like and the selection is pretty great as well. Awesome store.“

“Just wanted to give a shout out to Railroad House and their staff. April, Manager Adam, and our waitress Mary were super accommodating on helping us celebrate my daughter's 21st birthday. Food was great, our waitress Mary did a phenomenal job keeping up with our party of 13 drinks and food order. April had our table reserved and even accommodated us when more people joined our party. Adam checked in on us thru out the night and even brought the birthday girl a shot.Thank you all!! Highly recommend. If you come in with a large party, call ahead and they will take care of you.“

Cozy atmosphere, excellent service. The dishes are presented well. Generous servings. Everyone works together, so it's never hard to get the attention of a server.

“The crowd was pretty much what you would expect for a small bar 70 miles outside Philadelphia. The atmosphere was pretty welcoming and the bartender was super nice. As an obviously gay man I was a little nervous at first but had no problem meeting new ppl and having a good time. Even left with a number. ?“

“We were there last night ,Saturday January 4. It was very busy. I have to give a job well done to Mel! She was the only bartender and she kept up with the bar and the line to get drinks. She was calm and handled it well. She did not ask for help but some of the Trustees took glasses, brought her ice and also helped the only waitress running food and clearing tables. Kudos to those ladies that helped. This is a great place and again I would like to give kudos to Mel. A true professional!“

“It is a throw back bar.Ok..Ok..It a dive.! but a great dive bar! Walking in takes you back in time. I don't think there is a more laid back bar than Huie's in Berks County. Want to smoke a cigarette? You can. They don't chase you outside to smoke. It is the most non pretentious bar I have every been to. Beer prices are great. Scott, the bartender, is such a nice guy. Pretty damm smart too. Don't challenge him in Jeopardy unless you want to get your butt handed to you. This bar may not be for everyone and that's a good thing but it's good enough for me and all the other nice people who go there!! 1/2/24.. The greatest dive bar in Berks County. There are a lot of regulars and a lot if banter. If you are thin skinned or easily offended, this is not the place for you. If you come in feeling entitled or special, or demanding or complaining you won't feel that way when you walk out. Yeah, it a little clicky but it's like family when you are part of the click.“

“The first thing we noticed was the vibe. Nice atmosphere, not too loud and the feel of an Irish Pub.

Our server Zaire was 5 stars from the water glasses to dessert. He's a keeper.

The food was outstanding. The worst part was seeing what everyone else was eating too. Every plate that came out looked off the hook outstanding.

It is a good, nice and clean place and the service deserves it, and if it is a place more for men than for women, it is obvious or else it would be decorated like Barbie or Dora the Explorer, it is what it is and the colors suit everyone's taste.
