wonderful food & excellent service!
Definitely authentic filipino cuisine! We had empanadas which were huge, delicious and crispy. The Diniguan was absolutely delicious...1st time having papaya in there, but overall loved the flavor! The Chop Suey was very tasty and the Bululo was very good and even my mom (who is filipino) enjoyed it! At the end, the Halo Halo was amazing! Kusinang Pinoy Filipino Home Cooking is a great hidden gem and family-owned restaurant in Greenspring plaza. It offers an eclectic selection of Filipino fare, from Ube waffles and ice cream for breakfast served all day to both vegetarian options and all sorts of meats, including pork, chicken, and frog legs. The food is pretty good and delicious home-style cuisine. The people are really nice and the restaurant also has a small assortment of groceries, as well as frozen and baked goods. It is an experience with huge portions, though some prices are considered pretty expensive. Some specific items like the siomai and halo halo were noted as costly, and a dish like the sinsang pork belly had a large portion with a lot of vegetables. The restaurant is recommended as a place to check out and support, encouraging diners to bring friends and order dishes to share. It is seen as a valuable local business and the only Filipino restaurant in the area.
