The Old Triangle Reviews
We came from NS. A group of over 20 of us…we should have made a reservation but it was a very last minute decision. The entire staff accommodated us without question. Super friendly staff, quick service and awesome atmosphere. Thank you from the 15U Fury Basketball team (and their parents)!!!!🏀
We were visitors to Charlottetown…. We came for a drink and stayed for the bartender Matt! We stopped in “ just for one “ and enjoyed the ambiance, friendly locals, the live music and in particular bartender Matt. What a pro! When we returned later that evening, he remembered us by name and what we drank. What a gem of a place!
Great place. Love the atmosphere. Bartender even drove me and my boss home when we were too drunk and were falling asleep at the bar.

The Old Triangle is a charming Irish pub that offers delicious food and drinks in a cozy atmosphere. Known for its perfect pour of Guinness, the restaurant provides a variety of menu options, including seafood boils and BBQ chicken burgers. The staff is friendly and attentive, making visitors feel welcome and comfortable. The pub features traditional fiddling that adds to the lively ambiance, making it a great spot for families and anyone seeking a unique dining experience. Guests often enjoy the large portions and good beer, with live music on Friday and Saturday nights, including ceilidh style tunes. The booths are particularly cute and add to the inviting feel of the place. Recently, visitors praised the food as being fantastic and unique, with some noting that the drinks come in good quantities and the cocktails are especially good. The interior ambiance was described as lovely, and the menu options impressive, offering something for everyone. Live music sessions, including Irish musicians jamming on Sunday afternoons, add to the lively atmosphere, although some guests felt the music volume could be a bit lower to better enjoy conversations. The pub is accessible with a ramp and can accommodate those in wheelchairs on the first floor, though the bathrooms might be harder to access. While the food remains solid Irish fare, some diners wish for the return of the mustard pickle side and improvements to the fish cakes. Overall, The Old Triangle is considered a local treasure in downtown Charlottetown, delivering a cozy, friendly, and lively Irish pub experience.
