“So I came here on a friday night, right before closing, like literally 15 mins before closing and I felt so bad but I really wanted to try their pizza. I'm from halifax and really wanted pizza here in pei. I ordered a med works with ex cheese. It was steaming as I walked to my car, drove to the air b&b 4 mins away and opened the box and was met with a glorious za....I tasted it and the ingredients were so fresh with big chunks of bacon that you could tell didn't come from a box but real live chopped bacon. This was hands down one of the best pizzas I've ever had, including traditional wood fired italian resto pizza. There was alot of good toppings, good flavor and the crust was good. My only criticism and maybe this is because it was slightly rushed cause I ordered so late but the bottom was a bit soggy after sitting and felt slightly raw in some areas of the pizza. Amazing pizza and the server and pizza cook allowing me to order so late when I work in the biz and know how annoyed the pizza cook probably was and were still accommodating and the cook made a good za. I'll be back here for sure when ever I'm in pei. Better than any halifax pizza in this same style I've had. Stone pizza in Dartmouth wishes it was this good!!!“

“I love a good coffee, but I can't say I found one here. I ordered a small drip coffee for $2.88. I don't care for those fancy tea cups they put the coffee in, so I went for a to-go cup. The coffee was bitter tasting. The lone male counter attendant had the friendliness and warmth of a pet rock. He acknowledged my presence with a barely discernible nod. The food menu looks overpriced but to be fair I haven't tried the food. But I'm willing to overlook all that because the building's interior exudes an inviting vibe. Subtle lighting, just the right amount of semi-private seating, and a turn-of-the century charm that made it impossible for me to resist relaxing in the warm and comfortable atmosphere for 15 minutes. There is even an outdoor patio for those balmy summer days. I'll be back.“

“We had a great experience today at this restaurant. Our waitress Trenna was so thoughtful and kind. We appreciate her making sure we had hot food to eat since ours was cooling from feeding the baby. She was so friendly and the food was amazing. We will definitely be back!“
“This restaurant is a hidden gem! I stumbled across it while out for an evening walk and visited for lunch the next day. I ordered the rice noodle soup dish and finished every bite, it was incredibly delicious. The chef is very friendly and welcoming as well. I had a great experience here and would come back anytime. Highly recommend for my fellow vegetarians!“

“Smallish place with a neighborhood eatery feel. Excellent food -- just really, really authentic and good.Had the lentil soup, yabrak (stuffed grape leaves), and kafta. All were great. Even the rice that came with the kafta was good, with a complementary spice palette. They could do with some Lebanese coffee and tea; would have liked to try something regional with dinner.Helpful staff brought me some take away at the end.I read that this place has been here since 1979. I can see why.Parking: Free street parking on weekends and after 6pm at meters. Same for parking garage around the corner. Otherwise about $1.50 Can/hr.“

“We only had one night on PEI but we are glad we chose Merchantman for dinner! We enjoyed their oysters to start ($20 for 10 after 8pm) followed by the seafood boil. Every single item in the boil was cooked to perfection and we thought the value for money was equal to the products we received in the dish. Enjoyed a bottle of local (Canadian) wine with our meal, Benjamin Bridge Tidal Bay, which we later found out is an appellation unique to Nova Scotia.Parking: Parking was free at the time of year we visited but would be wise to check signs carefully during the summer.“

“Good local dinner. Very traditional menu. Busy spot so lots of activity. Certainly recommend and will likely returnWheelchair accessibility: A bit tight in the entrance. Cars park close and the cash is right inside with often a group waiting for tables. Makes it a bit of a challenge for mobility challenged people“

“This place has some great bites and a great variety of beer. One of the guys at my table asked for a sour beer and they didn't have any in stock. Our waiter went to a couple of neighboring brewery and restaurants to see if he could find one. No luck, but an amazing thing for him to do. Hats off to exceptional customer service.“

“Always fantastic, best Chinese food on the island honestly! As someone from BC I’ve found it hard to acclimate to the (odd) versions of my favourite dishes but noodle house is a fantastic restaurant with true dishes! Plus they’re always a joy to see and talk to!“
“THE FOOD IS ALWAYS FANTASTIC !!! THE ATMOSPHERE, AND THE SERVICE IS SECOND TO NONE, AND THE PRICE IS RIGHT... TODAY MY FRIEND AND I, HAD A WONDERFUL LUNCH AT THE TOP OF THE PARK, OUR FAVORITE PLACE TO EAT ON P.E.I., HANDS DOWN. THE SALAD, THE MEAL AND THE DESERTS, WERE TO DIE FOR. WE PAID OUR BILL, WENT TO THE WASHROOM, AND OUT TO THE CAR. WHEN WE REACHED THE CAR, I SAID, WHERE IS MY PURSE? BACK TO THE RESTAURANT, NOT THERE... BACK TO THE BATHROOM, NOT THERE... SEARCHED THE PARKING LOT... NOWHERE TO BE FOUND. WENT TO SECURITY, AND REPORTED SAME TO SCOTT TAYLOR. I HAD ALL MY VALUABLE CARDS, AND OVER $300.00 IN CASH, IN MY PURSE. BY THE GRACE OF GOD, THE MAINTENANCE MAN FOUND IT IN THE PARKING LOT. THE STRAP HAD BROKEN OFF, AND IT FELL. I DIDN'T EVEN NOTICE... THANK YOU TO THE STAFF WHO HELPED ME SEARCH, THANK YOU FOR YOUR KINDNESS AND SUPPORT, AND THANK YOU TO THE HONEST MAINTENANCE MAN WHO RETURNED MY PURSE !!! MERRY CHRISTMAS.“

Very thoughtful!!Taste of India will always be special to us and we will continue to enjoy the food, the atmosphere and more importantly the beautiful staff!!“

“I really miss Italian style pizza, and in this place the pizza crust is really good. But the topping of the pizza upsets me a little bit. I tried Stephanie pizza and it was too.much balsamic glaze on it. Your pizza has a lot of potential, you just need to work on it more.“

“I don't choose this place personally but my family loves it for birthdays. I'm often pleasantly surprised with the food and their sandwiches are very good. It's a large and popular spot which means noisy and busy frequently which isn't appealing to me, personally. But, I often enjoy my visit when I'm there with my family.“

“I truly enjoyed my brunch here on Monday ! The atmosphere was superb. As soon as we walked in we were seated and once we ordered, our food was done in 10 minutes or maybe less. The drinks were the best that I’ve ever had and not watered down at all like some places. Didn’t feel rushed to leave either. We got a Casa Mia skillet and the fluffy French toast with maple and sausage ! Best French toast I’ve ever had. I have no idea why I’ve never dined here after living on PEI for years and years ! I will be back especially for that lemon drop drink.“

“Another Five Guys imitation, there's a few of these popping up in the Maritimes. It's not bad for what it is, but it's pricey and only "pretty good". If you're gonna charge almost $20 for a burger meal in a fast food joint it better really wow someone.I would say the highlight is the fresh cut big fires. Very tasty! But when the $5 fries are the star of the show compared to the $10 burger it's a little lop sided. It's good, but it's priced like a restaurant in a theme park.“

“I came to PEI with my wife and kids for vacation and after seeing The Chip Shack on food network I knew it was a place to stop. Your lobster roll was hands down the best one I had over the week, (and I had several) between PEI, NS and NB. If I am ever ome back to PEI I will be sure to stop and The Chip Shack for another lobster roll“

“We come to Charlottetown frequently but have never eaten here until this last visit and what a delightful surprise. We also did not know that this restaurant has been in business 30+ years and is family owned. Our server whom I'll call Arnie was great. Knowledgeable, helpful and a good sense of humour. Our food was excellent. The ingredients were fresh and expertly presented. You can tell the kitchen takes great pride in what and how they serve. We shared a Mediterranean Salad and it was delicious but it is large and we could not finish it. My Mediterranean Dinner was also lovely with just atouch of spice that made it very enjoyable. For dessert we took away thie carrot cake and coconut tart, both top notch.Papa Joe's will now be a regular stop on our next visit.Parking: Parking is right beside the building so no problems as there seems to be enough spaces.“
