“We went there last night for my birthday and rarely have I been so completely satisfied by a dining experience. Absolutely incredible, warm, engaging service complete with perfect suggestions that were right up our alley, a stunning cocktail program (my favorite was the Secret Garden, pictured below) and food that was truely delightful. We had the mushroom toast to start which was stunning and may have convinced me that I actually DO like mushrooms. My husband had the ribs which he said were perfectly done, not hiding behind the sauce but rather very nicely complimented by it, and I had the linguine, which was just so delicious, rich and flavourful but not overdone. We shared the cake that had chocolate mousse and espresso, a perfect cap to the meal. Everything was beautifully complimented by the exquisite décor and happy atmosphere. Thank you so much for such a lovely experience and putting so much effort into the little details, it made my birthday incredibly special!“

“Everything is done so well here. It’s hard to pick a favourite! The lobster roll is fantastic, and the bun for the lobster roll is the absolute best you’re going to find. Crab cakes are delicious, fries are perfect. Pot pies are so filling. The chicken veggie wraps are my favourite to grab for a quick lunch, the tomato jam on them is my favourite. The energy cookies always fix my sweet tooth, and their breakfast sandwiches will cure a hangover. The iced coffee is delicious and made with the perfect amount of milk/cream consistently. I also buy the biscuits in the summer to use for strawberry shortcake when I don’t feel like baking my own, they’re the perfect vessel. Love getting the dips and pita chips to have with a cold beer in the summer too. All of this to say, I’m a huge fan and love supporting local, and you should definitely go here and support Tyler and Christine, they know what they’re doing! (And to the rest of the staff, I see you hustling in the kitchen!) I’d love to work here, but I’m afraid I’d just have to hand my pay directly back to them because of all of the food I would buy every day. Lol“

“We were there for late lunch today and had Burger Love and Fish Tacos, both with a side of flat potatoes. Both main dishes were delicious and very well presented. The service was excellent. We will definitely return to try out other options on the menu; however, the fish tacos will remain an all time favourite.“

“You have to eat here if you’re in Charlottetown, especially if you want any seafood! It is sooo good. The chowder is the best chowder I had my whole trip! The owner Coady is the nicest, most down to earth guy. This is just one of those local family-owned spots that warms your heart and your belly. Yummm.“

“Such a gem to have the Culinary Institute in town! You cannot find this type of menu anywhere else, especially one that rotates through the year! It’s always lovely to meet the students in training and be absolutely delighted by the wonderful menus they are preparing. Delightfully pleasant service, fantastic food (everything from the bread to the dessert!) and overall lovely atmosphere!

“Dined here mid-October Tuesday evening. Our excellent waiter Will started us off with drinks and 2 appetizers, Mussels and Fried Calamari. My Spouse ordered Spinach Salad for her entrée. I got the Lobster Roll. We split the Sticky Date pudding for dessert. All the food was excellent. Recommend eating here when in the Charlottetown downtown.“

“On travel with a tour group, I've been trying lots of Nova Scotia chowder and Salt & Sol's wins top place in my ranking! Really creamy broth with delicious mussels, chunks of fresh fish, with a good blueberry ale . The 2nd floor porch looking out on the water gives you an amazing view. Thanks for a great meal!“

The chef is beyond talented and every dish we got felt like it was hand crafted just for our palate!

20/10 would recommend this place! It is small and intimate so I would suggest a reservation,it was the highlight of our dining experience in PEI, they also have an upstairs bar with live music! It ended at 10 on the night we went so we just missed it but if you have an early reso and love live music it’s the perfect combo for a date night!“

“I was pleasantly surmised by the ambience, big, clean and comfortable.. I got the special, a chicken wrap, and it was loaded with real chicken. The fries were excellent. Just would like to see a less heavy hand with the salt in the soup and chicken salad I had butnfull of flavour“

“This was one of our all time fav places. Great food, exactly what we thought we should get plus. Our server Emma was exceptional. Emma & other staff members were great helping us with an inquiry into their merchandise. Again they went beyond what they needed to do to help us. It was a pleasure chatting with Emma when she had a minute. The atmosphere is just what we expected and it was also perfect. Okay but the desserts. So damn good, I wanted to lick the bowl. “Went here tonight for our 3-year wedding anniversary. Everything was perfect! We had a nice corner table looking out on Queen Street. Appetizers were delicious (1/2 dozen raw oysters, steak bread 2.0) oysters were so fresh, they didn't even really need the accoutrements. Steak bread was outstanding, and came recommended by a friend. For our mains we both had steak (Ribeye and Striploin Special). Both were cooked perfectly and the flavour was amazing. Sides were piping hot and generous! No room for dessert, but we may have stopped for a scoop of cows on the way home (everyone knows ice cream melts in the cracks). Can't recommend highly enough for a date or special night out. We will be back!“

“My sister was visiting the island and arrived on a Friday evening, although the restaurant was booked up (recommend booking a reservation which we did not have ) they did have a secondary dining room for overflow . We were seated and served promptly. I am not one to write reviews but the main reason I wanted to write this was because our server Sarah , was quite possibly one of the best servers we have ever had . Period. She was so down to earth , friendly, knowledgeable and personable , she definitely made the experience awesome . The food was good too. Cheers“

“Great selection of beers Generous portions, none of us finished our food but not for lack of trying. Incredible service. seriously, the staff were so great, attendant, and friendly. They were knowledgable about the beers and the ones they didn't know about (I don't blame them with so many) they got back to me on. They have a little games area that kept the kiddos busy while I listened to the live band. The nachos were delicious except for the mayo on them which was weird but that's on me for not asking to skip it. Poutine was perfectly cooked and so delicious. The weird bowl my wife got was also pretty good“
