Freshly backed muffins and pastries and an awesome latte ☺️🥰
Have never seen a trans fem individual work at Samuels. Was misgendered and it was not handled appropriately. Was interrupted and talked over when I voiced I was upset being called sir while wearing a dress.
I wish Samuels was inclusive but I don’t feel that anytime I go
I have not visited often but the times I have and purchased a baked item it has not been fresh. Definitely day or two old and if you want to do that then let the customer know and charge less. The coffee is weak and specialty drinks like cinnamon latte are light on the cinnamon flavour

The restaurant's Ethiopian Blend coffee and chocolate-covered coffee beans are highly recommended. The baked goods are excellent, with the chocolate chip cookie being a standout for its chewy texture, though it could have had more chocolate. Modern cafe fare like avocado toast and healthy homemade granola are available, along with a yogurt granola bowl that has received positive reviews. The space is bright and modern, but it can get busy, especially before 10 am. Baristas are lovely, kind, and friendly, and an oatmilk latte is considered one of the best. An iced dirty chai latte is a great choice, though opinions on the chai vary. The breakfast sandwich is amazing, and the homemade pop tart has also impressed many. Overall, Samuel's Coffee House is a major highlight of Avonlea Village, known for fresh, tasty coffee and excellent service.
