“I cannot write enough good things about this restaurant. The employees at Bengal graciously sat us 35 minutes before they closed. We all ordered three of the specials, the Tandoori Chicken, Chicken Curry, and Dal Makhani. Portions were fantastic: came with a substantial portion of rice and naan. It was easily some of the best Indian food all three of us have ever had. (My FIL is from England)
I got the Tandoori chicken and it was so moist and tender. My partner had the Dal and it was so flavorful and the texture was just perfect. The naan was fluffy and soft with a perfect char on the outside.
We couldn’t get enough of our meals. We ordered another curry to go for my partner’s brother.
We will absolutely be returning when we come back to Sintra. I’ll be thinking about this meal for years to come.

“we’re back In lisbon for the new year once again. This time we were in the mood for some Indian food and we went to this restaurant and i have to say the food was delicious. We read the reviews and we thought to give it a try and it was worth it. They had the classic Indian menu with the curries and naan but also a south Indian menu which had very tasty dishes that we have never had before. Our kids are fan of the butter chicken so naturally my husband and I had some too, it was very flavorsome. I had the “masala dosa” which was amazing. It was definitely a new experience but I would definitely recommend. We also had the pani puri which I have seen many videos of and it was a burst of flavor. But, we loved the classic appetizers like the onion bhaji and the chicken tikka. My husband had the lamb roganjosh with the garlic naan and I had a bite, and I will frog my make that a staple in my Indian takeout next time. really good! All in all, it was delicious and we will be my coming back again some time, especially my husband since he adores indian food. “Very unsuspecting little place in a crowded back street. We went in for some lunch, craving some seafood and their menu seemed a bit cheaper than most around. Well were we in for a surprise! Then clams were BRILLIANT and full of flavour, much better than the extremely expensive upper class restaurants in the area and even further down the coast (in fact I would warn against any fancy restaurant in Cascais and within a 5 mile radius!). We also had the squid and prawns which came in a different sauce and the squid was beautifully tender. The decor isn’t great and we were put by a big tv screen outside but wow to the clams in particular.

So good in fact that we took our friends a couple of days later, they had the same with the addition of swordfish that was cooked perfectly, everyone was full and happy with a reasonable bill at the end of it.

The waiters were very friendly and attentive, however I did have to mark it down just one star as they put bread and olives on the table as if it were complimentary (as is the standard across Europe/UK) but you do have to pay for them so if you don’t want them, do send them back so you don’t get charged! But you will want the bread to dip in that garlic clam sauce ;)

The fish and seafood is top top notch, I can’t comment on their Asian influenced dishes. Bravo to their chef.“
