“Revelation.
Very nice, professional and helpful service. Nice welcome, excellent proactive contact with guests.
You can feel that the approach to food is very good. The menu is not overloaded, the dishes are partly made from home-made products.
We can definitely recommend what we ate: Camaro a Tasco, Choco Frito, Cacholeira. And delicious ice cream.
The background music is also spot on, and there's a local atmosphere so you don't feel like you're a tourist.
Thank you. We will try to come back someday.“

“We just spent a couple of days in Cascais and went twice. Once for lunch and once for dinner. Food is great, cool laidback atmosphere. Service is super friendly. Just a bit slow at the end when we wanted to pay and leave (both times we had to ask for the check multiple times). But a cool place to eat and have a drink nonetheless.“

“A delightful time was had here. This is a teeny restaurant, run by a husband and wife who clearly take a lot of pride over every detail - from the decor and ambience, to the quality of every ingredient on the recipe. The hospitality was generous and appreciated - and the food was delicious. I had a couple of the starters which were interesting and very tasty. A good time was had by all. 10/10 would recommend.“

“In a small corner of Cascais, close but far from the hustle and bustle and mass tourism... respectful of the environment and friendly. Mediterranean food accompanied by local wines and you could even say artisan... I think it was clear, Thank you for sharing your stories, your ideas and your meals. Until returning.“

“I really liked the space and the food... Even though everything was fried, everything was great... One of those snacks that you can only make from time to time... The atmosphere is very pleasant and the staff are 5 stars and always very attentive. I advise.“

“The gentleman that served us today was amazing. We only speak English but he was very fluent and we had a lovely time there. We went for a late lunch, I had mushroom risotto and my friends had the veggie pasta and the octopus with potatoes. We were all blown away by the tase and quality of the food. The prices are very reasonable and the terrace has a gorgeous view too. Couldn't fault this restaurant and would definitely go again if we're in the area.
Dietary restrictions: Dairy allergy was easily catered for and not an inconvenience“

“Seems most of the guests here only swing by to grab a drink.
We did the opposite and ordered a lot of food instead!
Staff is friendly, but if was sometimes hard to communicate with the young waiter. We wanted the sauce on the side for our kids steak. Instead, it was drowned in sauce.
The shrimp skewer was not that special. And the veal slices were a bit chewy.
But other than that. Everything was really good!
My favorites: Carpaccio, steak, foie gras and 21 ceviche“

“Homemade and tasty food. They should have more variety. As for the desserts, I didn't like the fact that they were in cups, the quantity should have been more generous, the apple pie could have come with a scoop of ice cream, that's a tip.“

“This quiet little restaurant is a great spot for date night. My wife and I loved our gourmet burgers (mine had a "drippy" fried egg, and hers was topped with goat cheese, walnuts & honey), along with a pitcher of delicious homemade sangria. Service was excellent and we thought that the prices were quite reasonable. Highly recommended!“
“Briliant! As owner says 'Everything we serve we would serve to our family.' Salada de Anchovas was brilliant. Bravo potatoes out of this world. A hidden gem. I feel sad watching the people pass by,this place is so good. Thank you Casa Merocos. Perfect last night in Portugal.“

“We had a nice time here. We went there for drinks and to enjoy a relaxing afternoon. On our first visit Sarah waited at our table. She is very helpful and sweet. We were seated and served very quickly. The next afternoon we visited again thanks to our positive experience. This time Marcelo waited at our table. He is super polite, helpful and friendly. Once again we were seated and served quickly. Overall, we had a lovely time relaxing with a glass of wine and some tapas at this restaurant.“

“So many encounters
An absolutely exquisite atmosphere. The servers welcomed us and a strong bond was formed between our group of customers and our 2 wonderful servers.
Joke after joke, they were at the forefront of humor but always without exceeding the limits of courtesy.
The food was tasty and we were able to discover local specialties.
Little extra: the interior is decorated with pipes and creates a really nice atmosphere
Bom Dia!“

“An excellent place to be, good food and excellent prices, I've been going there with colleagues and I have no reason to complain, warm and friendly service, I'm sorry for the sad comments from certain people, which aren't true, especially when they're not busy, as everywhere can fail one thing or another. I don't remember them charging an amount that wasn't the right amount, I recommend O Picadeiro as it has new management with a pleasant atmosphere and good food“
“Welcome back, Kech! A portion of Sa Caleta has been redesigned and again welcomes the wonderful Moroccan flavors we so enjoy. The current menu offers a wide array of mezze, each freshly prepared and perfectly spiced and sauced. The staff are talented and caring, the owner and manager among the most talented restauranteurs in Cascais, and the decor with tables inside, on a covered patio and on the street offer excellent options for groups or single diners. Vegetarian, beef, chicken, lamb...it is all here again. We had the best evening, meeting new locals and watching tourists and locals stroll along Yellow Street.“

“This is one of my favorite places in Lisbon.
An excellent example of traditional Portuguese cuisine, well executed with simple techniques.
Excellent product and very good treatment of it.
The dishes are abundant, especially the main ones.
Attentive and fun service. You leave the premises with a smile and the desire to return.
The place is a bit small and gets a little noisy when there are a lot of people, which is usually the case.
It is advisable to reserve in advance.“

“Laid-back creative bistro with seasonal sharing plates and a pure selection of terroir-driven wines (that I did not taste because I don’t drink but maybe one day again). Warm atmosphere and welcoming staff. A unique dining experience with a stunning variety of tastes and textures. Ordered five plates including dessert. The Ceviche de jaca verde was a great start introducing me to the imaginative world of Senhor USA with mythical blends between each fruit and the tangy touch from the red onion.
The Curgete was by far my favorite providing a blend of succulent flavors between every ingredient. The Pleurotus was alluring with its fusion of ingredients, surprising enough everything went well together even though I’m not a fan of some of the ingredients individually. The arroz, kale and espinafre plate was rich and slightly heavier than I expected. The sea asparagus was the highlight for me as its texture provided the perfect balance in the dish.
Unfortunately the Parfait de Morango wasn’t to my likening due to the cold overbearing the flavor and the dislike in its semi solid form.
The waiters and chefs provided a cozy atmosphere and it was a good experience.“

“My partner and I have gone. One of my best experiences eating in Portugal. Quality-price ratio of 10. All the food is very good, super fast service and a very good Portuguese atmosphere, nothing to do with other expensive restaurants in the area where you leave hungry and they ask you for double the money. Excellent.“

“We walked past the touristy stuff and thought maybe to grab a sandwich .. maybe takeaway for the train. Instead, we found our way into an incredibly charming space and got both a magical list of craft beers/ciders, but the absolutely best sandwich I have ever had. Do yourself a favor and pass up the touristy sidewalk fillers for a Cachaco de porco assado lentamente!“

“Top croissant in Lisbon!
The scrambled eggs and the poached eggs are also very good.
Açaí bowl is in balance with the granola and with the fruit.
Only things what l don’t like here are the drinks (l tried: orange juice, smoothies, ice latte).“

“The food is of good quality, however the flavors can and should be improved.
The service is attentive, but a little slow due to a lot of demand.
The temperature can be improved if the air conditioning is turned on at the appropriate temperature, I refer to the upper can.
The immense noise makes it difficult to relax.
It seemed like a fair price to me.“

“The food was good, the plates were quite filling, the prices were consistent with what was served and the location and the attentive and friendly staff but I want to make special mention that a client came with his dog and as soon as he sat down they immediately gave him water and even gave him water. They gave a prize. They were attentive and loving even with the dog and for me it is something super important. The place is spacious and has a terrace but it fills up quickly.
Parking: It's crazy to take the car to Sintra
Wheelchair accessibility: Sintra itself is a place that is not very accessible due to the number of slopes you encounter along the way.“

“We ate here twice, both times the service and food were excellent! The staff was so welcoming and prepared the food with care and expertise. They were so accommodating, they prepared a big salad on our request as we hadn't had a salad for a while and needed some greens. Thank you for such wonderful food. ?“

“A relaxed and very nice place, with domestic tappas and some main dishes.

“The staff is super attentive and the food arrives quickly, the atmosphere is good, the Olympic games are on. The food is amazing, it doesn't make sense how good it is. It is recommended to order the octopus, the choco and the clams but the best of all are the broken eggs, I think they are the best broken eggs I have ever tasted in my life.“

“Chapito has amazing views over Lisbon and the river. Service is fantastic and menu is small but sufficient. We had beef cheeks and they were very delicious, although served a bit cold and portions to the small side. Guinea fowl was fine but nothing special, the prok carre was very undercooked but the garnish was good. We tried all three deserts and they were marvelous. Recommended.“

“Another hidden gem off the main tourist area.Local Portuguese food, simple but tasty. Can recommend the pork and sole.House white wine was inexpensive and excellent.Sweet rice dessert also delicious.Like some local restaurants we were given a salad and meat apetitiser which we didn't request and then they charge you. That said they weren't expensive and we enjoyed them both but if you don't want then send them back.“

“I was about to give 5 stars, which is extremely rare for me.
The food and wine selection were terrific, the service was good and we also sat very nicely (outside).
However, the bread was really not good and there was no dip with it. In addition, the sanitary facilities were not good. But the wine selection and the food (apart from the bread) were top.“

“Restaurant in São Marcos, very welcoming, excellent homemade food, with live music on pre-defined days, friendly and fun staff, €18 menu (3 homemade dishes) without drinks and desserts. You should ask for the wine list. Difficult parking. A very fun start to the night.????“
