“In a small corner of Cascais, close but far from the hustle and bustle and mass tourism... respectful of the environment and friendly. Mediterranean food accompanied by local wines and you could even say artisan... I think it was clear, Thank you for sharing your stories, your ideas and your meals. Until returning.“

“Seems most of the guests here only swing by to grab a drink.
We did the opposite and ordered a lot of food instead!
Staff is friendly, but if was sometimes hard to communicate with the young waiter. We wanted the sauce on the side for our kids steak. Instead, it was drowned in sauce.
The shrimp skewer was not that special. And the veal slices were a bit chewy.
But other than that. Everything was really good!
My favorites: Carpaccio, steak, foie gras and 21 ceviche“

“View and vibes were AMAZING.
Sangria and potato skins were divine.
Portuguese Steak and Grilled Octopus were quite good. The Pumpkin Fondant was to die for.
Service was a bit slow but friendly. We did not, however, enjoy being put on the spot and asked to give a good review and mention our waiter's name.
Otherwise, it was a lovely evening.“
“Welcome back, Kech! A portion of Sa Caleta has been redesigned and again welcomes the wonderful Moroccan flavors we so enjoy. The current menu offers a wide array of mezze, each freshly prepared and perfectly spiced and sauced. The staff are talented and caring, the owner and manager among the most talented restauranteurs in Cascais, and the decor with tables inside, on a covered patio and on the street offer excellent options for groups or single diners. Vegetarian, beef, chicken, lamb...it is all here again. We had the best evening, meeting new locals and watching tourists and locals stroll along Yellow Street.“

“Latino corner, very welcoming, very friendly waitresses, the boss and his manager just as much. I'm a little shocked to see the negative comments from before. I think I'm in the coolest place around here. Top-notch alcohol and meal atmosphere“

“I was about to give 5 stars, which is extremely rare for me.
The food and wine selection were terrific, the service was good and we also sat very nicely (outside).
However, the bread was really not good and there was no dip with it. In addition, the sanitary facilities were not good. But the wine selection and the food (apart from the bread) were top.“

“Revelation.
Very nice, professional and helpful service. Nice welcome, excellent proactive contact with guests.
You can feel that the approach to food is very good. The menu is not overloaded, the dishes are partly made from home-made products.
We can definitely recommend what we ate: Camaro a Tasco, Choco Frito, Cacholeira. And delicious ice cream.
The background music is also spot on, and there's a local atmosphere so you don't feel like you're a tourist.
Thank you. We will try to come back someday.“

“A delightful time was had here. This is a teeny restaurant, run by a husband and wife who clearly take a lot of pride over every detail - from the decor and ambience, to the quality of every ingredient on the recipe. The hospitality was generous and appreciated - and the food was delicious. I had a couple of the starters which were interesting and very tasty. A good time was had by all. 10/10 would recommend.“

“The gentleman that served us today was amazing. We only speak English but he was very fluent and we had a lovely time there. We went for a late lunch, I had mushroom risotto and my friends had the veggie pasta and the octopus with potatoes. We were all blown away by the tase and quality of the food. The prices are very reasonable and the terrace has a gorgeous view too. Couldn't fault this restaurant and would definitely go again if we're in the area.
Dietary restrictions: Dairy allergy was easily catered for and not an inconvenience“

“Restaurant in São Marcos, very welcoming, excellent homemade food, with live music on pre-defined days, friendly and fun staff, €18 menu (3 homemade dishes) without drinks and desserts. You should ask for the wine list. Difficult parking. A very fun start to the night.????“

“Briliant! As owner says 'Everything we serve we would serve to our family.' Salada de Anchovas was brilliant. Bravo potatoes out of this world. A hidden gem. I feel sad watching the people pass by,this place is so good. Thank you Casa Merocos. Perfect last night in Portugal.“

“We had a nice time here. We went there for drinks and to enjoy a relaxing afternoon. On our first visit Sarah waited at our table. She is very helpful and sweet. We were seated and served very quickly. The next afternoon we visited again thanks to our positive experience. This time Marcelo waited at our table. He is super polite, helpful and friendly. Once again we were seated and served quickly. Overall, we had a lovely time relaxing with a glass of wine and some tapas at this restaurant.“

“My partner and I have gone. One of my best experiences eating in Portugal. Quality-price ratio of 10. All the food is very good, super fast service and a very good Portuguese atmosphere, nothing to do with other expensive restaurants in the area where you leave hungry and they ask you for double the money. Excellent.“

“Sintra is rammed with tourists - even in October when we visited. Villa Craft Beer and Bread was like a sea of calm amidst the chaos. Just off the main street, we had a relaxed beer (my wife had Jasmin, I had Ginger) and delicious mini pizzas. Would definitely recommend. Updated from previous review on 2024-10-28“

“The food was good, the plates were quite filling, the prices were consistent with what was served and the location and the attentive and friendly staff but I want to make special mention that a client came with his dog and as soon as he sat down they immediately gave him water and even gave him water. They gave a prize. They were attentive and loving even with the dog and for me it is something super important. The place is spacious and has a terrace but it fills up quickly.
Parking: It's crazy to take the car to Sintra
Wheelchair accessibility: Sintra itself is a place that is not very accessible due to the number of slopes you encounter along the way.“

“A relaxed and very nice place, with domestic tappas and some main dishes.
We ate some tapas and burgers. The burger was one of the top 3 that I ate. The waiter was great and translated the Portuguese menu into brilliant English. Definitely worth a return visit soon.

“I stopped by Tasca Saloia in Lisbon for lunch and tried their Octopus Salad. The dish was nice as octopus were cut up into bite size pieces, the meat was tender and had good flavour. The garnishing was refreshing and complemented the octopus as well. Overall, it’s worth trying if in the area and I’d rate it 8.3/10“

“We just spent a couple of days in Cascais and went twice. Once for lunch and once for dinner. Food is great, cool laidback atmosphere. Service is super friendly. Just a bit slow at the end when we wanted to pay and leave (both times we had to ask for the check multiple times). But a cool place to eat and have a drink nonetheless.“
