“This is the BEST Indian in Alvor by a mile. I’ve been to a few Indians in the area and this is by far the best!!!

The staff are amazing. Polite, great with kids, good at explaining the menu, patient and much more. Just so nice.

The service was prompt and friendly and the food didn’t take long at all. When it came it was amazing. Perfect temperature and so tasty. There was the full Indian menus available that you would expect, all the meats, all the sauces and all the extras.

We will definitely be back here when we are next in Alvor.“

“I'm a huge fan of Companhia das Indias curry house. Their food is excellent, with a lot of variety and quality. I tried the butter chicken, the mixed sabzi, and the paneer mutter, and they were all wonderful. The butter chicken was creamy and rich, the mixed sabzi was nutritious and tasty, and the paneer mutter was cheesy and delicious. The service was also very good, very fast and polite. A great place to have some Indian food!“

“100% recommended Indian restaurant. We were eating very comfortably with excellent attention, fast service, attention to detail. The waiter was very kind, polite, friendly and very professional. When setting the table, he took the clean plates with a napkin, which was appreciated.
They have a secluded terrace where you are comfortable. Fast service. Very good food. The curry for the lamb was delicious. Another fish dish (goan) was very tasty.
He asked us what level of spiciness we wanted.
I asked for gluten-free dishes and the waiter indicated that they had none and that there is only gluten in the bread.

“Is in Slovak language someone who does not attract a lot of attention and is generally inconspicuous. That's what I thought seeing this restaurant surrounded by all the fancy, contemporary eateries on the same street. I wasn't very eager to go in there at first. But we ended up welcomed by a charming and extremely helpful man who took us over their vegan choices. As in any Indian place, you have them plenty. But somehow we liked their kitchen more than the plenty Indian we've already tried. If you are like me and hesitate in front of this restaurant, give it a try! It was honestly better than many of the fancy places on that street. And only a fracture of their prices.“

I just had a third of each of the dishes to start with and they were delicious then as they cooked above the little heaters they developed more and more flavour. “Firstly this is further down than shown on Google, next to Faustinho's steak bar.Stopped by for lunch - had a special on of poppadoms, onion bhaji and 2 set mains with rice and naan for 2 for €20.In summary was absolutely excellent. They had no naan (a delivery arrived while we were eating including a large bag of flour.....) so we asked for chapati instead. Bhajis were really good, not at all doughy, crisp on outside and soft inside. For main I had chicken Jalfreizi, asked for it less hot (medium) and it was perfect. Chicken meat was very nicely cooked and spice flavours were great. Chapati clearly freshly made. My wife had chicken Korma, again really excellent and you could taste subtle spice alongside the coconut.Total bill with drinks €27. Easily worth €40.We eat quite a lot of Indian food and genuinely this was one of the best we've had, certainly the best for value.“

“Wonderful place. We were out for Portuguese food but got no place so went Indian. And this was a really phantastic experience, the food came quick and was very tasty. We had two lamb and a chicken dish and the sauces were delicious.
I also really enjoyed the friendliness of the staff. They spoke a decent Portuguese as well, maybe even a bit unexpected but adds to the positive impression we got. Definitely recommended! It seemed nice for small children as well even though we only had our oldest son with us, who enjoyed the food and free WiFi.

The naam was perfectly buttery and the curry was on point! They serve the chili oil separately, so you can adjust the heat of the dish well.

“For me, the pashmina is proof that Indian cooking can be spicy and not ultra-spicy. Whenever we are in the area we try to eat here.
I can highly recommend the Kabuli Goosht and the lamb with eggplant. The chicken tandoori was also outstanding.
For starters, the tandoori salad with chicken is highly recommended.

“We had a fantastic meal here, our friends took us to this beautiful restaurant as they have been going there for 19years. It has a beautiful garden setting as well as a really lovely indoor restaurant. Unfortunately there was no live music but apparently that is reserved for Wednesday & Saturday. We were showed to our table quickly after arriving and some popadoms and pickles arrived soon afterwards. We were given the menus and allowed time to make our selection while they prepared our drinks. At first I was not sure as it’s not a usual mixture Pizza & Curry however I need not have worried as both were fabulous. I had a lamb vindaloo that was both spicy & very tasty, the lamb was melt in the mouth. One of my friends opted for the vegetarian pizza that looked equally delicious. The food came quickly and was hot for a change ( not often in any restaurant) we enjoyed a jug of rad sangria with it this again was lovely. The Restraunt is just off the main road and has its one car park this made life easy as the road outside was packed. All in all a great evening and if you are looking for something a little different/ romantic I would recommend this place ?.“
