Akua by Chef Júlio Pereira offers excellent food in a lovely ambiance. The service is mostly great, with some room for improvement. Despite a slight issue with timing, the attentive staff and delicious meals make it worth the visit. Great value for money with the option for solo diners. This small restaurant in Funchal has quality and imaginative and delicious dishes. The kitchen is open with a counter where you can also eat as an individual. Even things that you might not like are prepared in such a way that they taste good. The grouper with seafood rice was AMAZING. Super delicious and the taste was really good. The staff was very friendly, and every time a different person brought the dish and explained it. There is the option of eating a la carte or a menu. Each dish is unique with a mix of different textures, full of flavor and color. It is preferable to reserve to ensure a table without waiting. This restaurant is child friendly.
