The seafood rice is described as rich, flavourful, and filling, while the grilled seafood, such as sea bream and octopus, as well as the fried sardines, are praised for their excellent taste and value. The padrón peppers, clams, and bolinhos de bacalhau are also highly recommended, with the latter awarded as the best in the city. The bacalhau á gomes de sá, a dish based on cod with boiled potatoes, eggs, and onions, is truly delicious. Customers have found this to be their best dining experience in Porto, often returning for seconds. The owner is kind and affable, taking time to explain the dishes and traditions. The wine is very good, and the value for money is excellent. This little hidden gem is still authentic and far from touristy offerings, but it’s best to book as the place is small.
