“We come here every year to drink wine in the afternoon or evening. The two innkeepers are incredibly nice and friendly. There are 2 “special” dishes that change every day and are highly recommended.
Parking: There are a few parking spaces available, but they are mostly occupied by residents
Wheelchair accessibility: A ramp for wheelchair users is available. It also helps a lot when driving up.“

“Really nice team and well-labelled menu. We had the vegan bruschetta and falafel which were both so fresh and had great flavours. Beyond what you would normally except from these simple options. It's also very affordable and a nice place to sit.“

“This is undoubtedly one of the best stocked bakeries in Tavira. There was a young man here that is very friendly and understands English very well. He was also very helpful in choosing new pastries. They have Oat milk! And wifi, that reaches outside. During our visit there was construction so not a great time for outdoor seating but nevertheless, it’s nice to have that option. There were such a nice selection of pastries and savory croquettes. Many almond selections. It’s a nice location tucked away from busy square between a nice fitness gym and popular hotel ! Enjoy“

“The brunch I tried today was, without a doubt, the best I've ever had the pleasure of enjoying. Every detail, from the impeccable presentation of the dishes to the harmony of flavors, reflected special care in preparation. The variety of options, which ranged from well-executed classics to innovative creations, surprised me with every bite. Congratulations to everyone involved for providing a gastronomic experience that exceeded all expectations!“

“Vegetarian options: Bit limited but ok . Tomato and Pesto and Mozzarella salad really good. Fries are excellent, not soggy plus spaghetti with pesto, pine nuts and parmesan very tasty. Huge choice of teas and coffee from their own roaster. Tried a Bombom which was coffee with condensed milk.... delicious but only room for one. Staff speak very good English and are very attentive. We have visited 3 times.“
“This is a perfect spot for people watching with a lovely drink ! We only went in the evening time for a beer and a cocktail but wish we had been for brunch or a cake ! The location is great and the staff are super friendly and chatty ! Definitely worth a visit for a more casual vibe. Would highly recommend.“

“Where do all these negative reviews come from? This is the place to be, the most lovely people and an oasis after visiting busy Tavira with all its tourist traps. And with really good and fresh food.
If I lived here permanently, I would come here every day.
Sure, I understand, it's confusing that the prices aren't listed. They could do better, to avoid bad comments and increase trust. But it is quite common in Portugal not to mention prices; it seems to me that this is not mandatory. But Portuguese people generally don't cheat (perhaps in the very busy tourist centers). Here, however, you can really be sure that you will not pay more if you are a tourist. I strongly recommend it.
Vegetarian options: Je hebt meerdere opties zonder vlees bv pannenkoek met kaas.“

“Such a lovely place for coffee, beer, food and cocktails. Nuno is so lovely. 1st met him when he wax on Gaivotas. We have been coming to Cabanas on and off for about 20 years and Nuno always asks after the kids , even though they don't come with any more. Would d1efinitely recommend“
“Having travelled through Portugal recently, this cafe has the best natas I've ever tasted, definetly the best in Portugal. The coffee, freshly squeezed orange juice and other baked goods were also top-notch. The friendly hard working staff and modern atmosphere made for a great experience. A must-visit cafe if you're in Algarve.“

“I give the maximum rating because the food is good for a price that is still Portuguese, which means that here we do not take advantage of the tourist situation to display prices that we find in France! The dish of the day (copious and good), the glass of wine (20 cl, not 10!) plus the coffee for €9, that deserves 5 stars in terms of quality/price.“

“Very nice little bar where we had breakfast two mornings. The boss is very friendly and made the effort to understand us! Here everyone knows each other, it’s a café of regulars who come to have their coffee and chat a little before going about their business! We loved the atmosphere.“
“Excellent homemade dish of the day, just like the cakes, very large choice of savory toast, organic ingredients, warm and very friendly service...
Unbeatable value for money
Very pleasantly surprised
A must-see address in Tavira, I recommend it to all visitors...“
“This pastry shop and bakery was conveniently on our way from our rental accommodation to downtown Tavira. Food is excellent and there is the option of eating indoors or outdoors. Preferred to eat on the patio except for when there were smokers (really wish the Portuguese authorities would ban smoking on restaurant patios!). The staff are super friendly except for one young lady who was determined to be as unpleasant as possible.“

“Went here one evening with my husband and 11 yo daughter after dinner on our last night. Wish we had found it sooner, we planned to sit on the chairs out the front on the street but the barman/owner (I'm not sure which) said there was additional seating in a courtyard through the bar. We sat in the courtyard, ordered our drinks, and had a wonderful conversation with the gentleman, on how he was from Austria and married a woman from Cabanas and a bit of his story, so nice to get to know the people that live and work there. He was so friendly. Pity we were leaving the next day else we would have gone back again. Had a lovely evening, so peaceful away from the crowds at the front of Cabanas.“
