“Excellent place, we entered this establishment the day we arrived in Vilanova de Cácela and since then we have frequented it every day since its snails are exquisite and its sweets are very rich, the attention is truly excellent and it is a place that I recommend going because dealing with people is very good“

“A lost place where we stopped looking for a snack and it turned out to be a great success. The smell that came out of their kitchens was wonderful, as was their menu with all kinds of varieties. You have to know it and try to repeat it. 100% advisable, no frills.“

“excellent, esp if you're from north America, we just can't get the same ingredients.had waffles with whipped cream and a scoop of ice cream, i drizzle with a dessert port wine.had a nice sandwich in the evening, returned today for more waffles. good alcohol selection and ice cream selection. i need to eat heavy tomorrow with a bus ride back to Lisbon.oh, great quad espresso.
Parking: about 10 spots across the street if you go in the afternoon, otherwise you're competing with beach people.“
“After a long march from Tavira in full sun, we arrived here very thirsty, so our choice was a cold, draft Portuguese beer. We sat in the garden and admired the very center of the town with the modern church at the forefront. This stop gave us strength to continue our walk back. Very friendly service. With the beer we got a snack in the form of something that resembled Polish broad beans. Prices very affordable. If it had been a little later, we would have probably decided to have an early dinner.“
“Went here one evening with my husband and 11 yo daughter after dinner on our last night. Wish we had found it sooner, we planned to sit on the chairs out the front on the street but the barman/owner (I'm not sure which) said there was additional seating in a courtyard through the bar. We sat in the courtyard, ordered our drinks, and had a wonderful conversation with the gentleman, on how he was from Austria and married a woman from Cabanas and a bit of his story, so nice to get to know the people that live and work there. He was so friendly. Pity we were leaving the next day else we would have gone back again. Had a lovely evening, so peaceful away from the crowds at the front of Cabanas.“
“We come here every year to drink wine in the afternoon or evening. The two innkeepers are incredibly nice and friendly. There are 2 “special” dishes that change every day and are highly recommended.
Parking: There are a few parking spaces available, but they are mostly occupied by residents
Wheelchair accessibility: A ramp for wheelchair users is available. It also helps a lot when driving up.“

“Stopped here for lunch in Tavira. The cafe is situated on a corner near Bishop's Square. Smoked salmon salad and sweet potato fries were excellent, fresh salad, good quality salmon and sweet potato fries on a par with those on sale at M & S . Service from Tiago very good the only downside is nearby roadworks which is affecting all (very) local businesses , hence the four stars for atmosphere. Nice white wine from Lisbon and Superbock beer ,what's not to like at a very reasonable price? Live music on tonight !
Vegetarian options: A lot of vegetarian options compared with other restaurants in Tavira.“
“Excellent cafeteria for a quiet breakfast. They make the espresso coffee (boca) delicious and the toasts (torradas de pão caseiro) too. They have good sweets. Very good value for money. We always have breakfast there and it's worth it.“

“This is undoubtedly one of the best stocked bakeries in Tavira. There was a young man here that is very friendly and understands English very well. He was also very helpful in choosing new pastries. They have Oat milk! And wifi, that reaches outside. During our visit there was construction so not a great time for outdoor seating but nevertheless, it’s nice to have that option. There were such a nice selection of pastries and savory croquettes. Many almond selections. It’s a nice location tucked away from busy square between a nice fitness gym and popular hotel ! Enjoy“

“The brunch I tried today was, without a doubt, the best I've ever had the pleasure of enjoying. Every detail, from the impeccable presentation of the dishes to the harmony of flavors, reflected special care in preparation. The variety of options, which ranged from well-executed classics to innovative creations, surprised me with every bite. Congratulations to everyone involved for providing a gastronomic experience that exceeded all expectations!“

“Vegetarian options: Bit limited but ok . Tomato and Pesto and Mozzarella salad really good. Fries are excellent, not soggy plus spaghetti with pesto, pine nuts and parmesan very tasty. Huge choice of teas and coffee from their own roaster. Tried a Bombom which was coffee with condensed milk.... delicious but only room for one. Staff speak very good English and are very attentive. We have visited 3 times.“

“We ate three different pastries. All super tasty. Especially the pineapple cake and the flan. Before that we ate toasted bread with cheese and ham. Also super tasty and above all juicy and crispy. And all of this at a very fair price. We will be back :-)“

“I ate here twice during my holiday. Chicken satay with fries and fries with chicken wings. The satay was tasty. The fries too and mayonnaise. Always wait and see abroad. The drinks tasted great too. The chili sauce went. Staff is nice and the music is nice. I will definitely go here again.“

“Where do all these negative reviews come from? This is the place to be, the most lovely people and an oasis after visiting busy Tavira with all its tourist traps. And with really good and fresh food.
If I lived here permanently, I would come here every day.
Sure, I understand, it's confusing that the prices aren't listed. They could do better, to avoid bad comments and increase trust. But it is quite common in Portugal not to mention prices; it seems to me that this is not mandatory. But Portuguese people generally don't cheat (perhaps in the very busy tourist centers). Here, however, you can really be sure that you will not pay more if you are a tourist. I strongly recommend it.
Vegetarian options: Je hebt meerdere opties zonder vlees bv pannenkoek met kaas.“
“Having travelled through Portugal recently, this cafe has the best natas I've ever tasted, definetly the best in Portugal. The coffee, freshly squeezed orange juice and other baked goods were also top-notch. The friendly hard working staff and modern atmosphere made for a great experience. A must-visit cafe if you're in Algarve.“

“The best Berlin balls I've ever eaten and with a wide variety of flavors and pastas
The first time I tried it was on the beach but as there were no vendors on the beach at this time of year, we went in search of the pastry and were even more surprised by the variety.
Every time I go to the Algarve, I will always have to go there for a quick break ?
I recommend the experience“

“Spectacular landscape, very comfortable, they receive requests that are not on the menu. Very calm with no fuss, but I went after lunch time so parking was easy. Beautiful and tasty pies and cakes. Very good bathroom. Good place to relax in the afternoon and read the newspaper or tablet, without any stress. Affordable price in relation to the price asked. They offer food on the menu, but they also serve alcohol and cocktails, even if they're not on the menu, look online, they're very affordable. I loved!
Parking: On the street, but during the holiday season a little more complicated. But there are always cars leaving the parking lot, I walked a few meters to the cafe, and when I was sitting I saw many cars leaving the parking lot and others parking, the parking lot is not dramatic.
Kid-friendliness: Suitable for children, I even saw babies.
Wheelchair accessibility: It has ramps!“

“This restaurant is slightly hidden away from the busier parts of Monte Gordo, which is one of the reasons I have taken the time to review it so others can find and enjoy the restaurant. Sadly we found it on our last day , but will return next time for sure. The food was spectacular and even better - reasonably priced. The service was also exceptional. The lady serving us made us feel very welcome.Big portions, tasty. They were particularly family friendly as well. We had a toddler in tow so that was important for us.“

“There was no one on the terrace, the bar was empty, while in others on the same street people were queuing. The waiter (it seems like the owner) seems shy or scared when serving, he asks permission for everything, in his attempt to please. They serve fast, the food is delicious. You can order tapas and portions. Economical prices. Things were missing from the letter.“

“I give the maximum rating because the food is good for a price that is still Portuguese, which means that here we do not take advantage of the tourist situation to display prices that we find in France! The dish of the day (copious and good), the glass of wine (20 cl, not 10!) plus the coffee for €9, that deserves 5 stars in terms of quality/price.“

“Very nice little bar where we had breakfast two mornings. The boss is very friendly and made the effort to understand us! Here everyone knows each other, it’s a café of regulars who come to have their coffee and chat a little before going about their business! We loved the atmosphere.“
“This pastry shop and bakery was conveniently on our way from our rental accommodation to downtown Tavira. Food is excellent and there is the option of eating indoors or outdoors. Preferred to eat on the patio except for when there were smokers (really wish the Portuguese authorities would ban smoking on restaurant patios!). The staff are super friendly except for one young lady who was determined to be as unpleasant as possible.“

“Very friendly and fast. They make an effort to speak Spanish. Thank you.
Parking: Let's see, I went in February and there was plenty of parking, I imagine that in summer things change because it is very close to the beach.

“Bar a lifelong fighter. With his clients watching FURBO, he does have a lot of TV to watch it. They even put Sevilla, although I don't know if we are a ruin of a team. For the rest, a beer and a terrace that you can set up at home, the good and long-lasting ones.“

“A regular morning stop of ours for toastie and coffee/tea. The pão caseiro makes the best toast! And the staff are super friendly. We go so often that they have come to know our order. The staff speak great English too but try your best to converse in Portuguese as well ?“
