“Topal is the best! Always bringing something on the house. The food is good , savoury, can be very hot if you want it, sweet , sour and spicy . They have large variety of many indian dishes and snacks. Also the mango lassi is bery good

“Wow! What an amazing dining experience! First of all, this is not a ‘typical’ restaurant. “Taste of India Tomar” is a concept that operates inside of “Raja Pizzas & kebabs”. The proprietor, Raja, is from Kashmir and will prepare Indian cuisine for his customers – if given 24 hours’ notice. I am an American (from New York) who now resides in the Algarve of Portugal. My wife and I are going to be moving to Tomar. We discovered this restaurant on Google Maps but were skeptical because there were no reviews on Tripadvisor or Google. Well, we cast aside our skepticism, and were rewarded with some of the best Indian cooking we have ever had (and we have enjoyed Indian cuisine in major cities in the United States and Europe). This began with a “whatsapp” message to Raja indicating dietary preferences (in our case, we are vegetarians), spice preference, and preferred seating time. The next evening, we showed up and were greeted by one of the warmest, and sincerely kind men you are likely to find anywhere. There was no menu to order from. After asking for our preference of beverage, we were delighted by plate after plate of absolutely perfectly spiced and delicious “home cooked” food. Each dish was amazing. It was absolutely magical! What an unexpected treat. We can’t wait to return, not just for the food but to see our new friend, Raja.“
