“On our last night in Porto, we finally made it to Guará and it was the perfect way to end the trip. The space is cozy, the staff are incredibly friendly, the food was fantastic. We had burgers and cheesecake, and honestly, it might have been the best cheesecake we’ve ever had. As a sweet surprise, they gave us complimentary pastel de nata when we were leaving, and absolutely delicious. If we’re ever back in Porto, we’ll definitely return! “The food and atmosphere is nice, but it is overpriced. We had no idea that starters will cost so much, as when we usually ask for the starters we don't look at the menu. And more of that, one spoon of olive oil cost us 2.60, and when we asked a bit more we were charged again 2.60, never happened in any portuguese restaurant, even the highest class. Very disappointed and will not go back.“

Greeted with a smile by the super professional and friendly staff, I was taken to the table and then got a tour to the outstanding wine cellar. I was amazed by the selection of wines from all over the world! After seating everyone, the food show started! From starters - the cold cuts and cheeses, the veal patty, the grilled chouriço, the wild boar stew and the “rojões” with chestnut were divine!! Then we move to the main dishes… and was amazing food they were!! From the Lamb chops, the “migas”, the beef and the unique cod with “alheira” we’re to die for! Everything was cooked to perfection, well seasoned and super tasty!! To finish we had a mix of desserts, including the famous turnips pudding. Yes, you read it correctly! Turnips pudding!! Amazing!!! It’s HIGHLY RECOMMENDED but be prepared to be eating for some hours as you will not want to leave!!“

“The little restaurant that could….For a small space it truly packs a punch. The food, wine and service are truly exquisite. The tuna is sublime - ask for Picante Siete! Why are there not more tourists in Galicia? Es España Verde - untold treasures, beautiful food and beautiful warm (not hot) weather. What are you waiting for? Joyous place. Highly recommend.“

“Dopo aver perso la cognizione del tempo in una bella passggiata lungo il Douro, presi da un attacco di fame, siamo capitati qui e c'è andata davvero bene! “Great variety of food in an all-vegan buffet. Creative and tasty dishes. A meat-eating friend who ate with me enjoyed it as well. We took the bnoffee pie for dessert, it came as a generous portion. I didn't expect such a unique place in a shopping center. Highly recommend.“

“Got here by pure luck, but it was among the places with online reservation (via Google Maps). The views were superb with the centre of Porto and superb Douro boats. But the food was awesome! We had a shrimp starter that was finger licking good, then the tuna steak. This is a must try! Coming with the veggies done in butter, they are a perfect combination.
I wish they offered a greater wine variety, but the sangria is not bad either.“
