“I booked a table and arrived and they chose a good table inside the restaurant. The employee who served us was super friendly. The food took a while (which is normal for August) and they still apologized for the delay. I ordered cracked eggs which were very good and a good dose, orange and strawberry juice were also great, my husband ordered a gluten free toast but I think it was too expensive for what he got and the bread was super hard (which is not is very normal for a gluten-free bread), the toast had chicken in it and was dry and hard. It wasn't the best toast. Other than that, nothing to point out.“

Then it was all forgiven because the ladies were such sweet and accommodating The food was delightful for the the eye and and mouth, the wines perfect accompanied. “At the time of writing this review, In Diferente restaurant holds a Bib Gourmand award from Michelin. However, the quality and presentation of the food, professional service, and atmosphere make it feel like a Michelin star establishment.

Chef Angelica Salvador, who runs the restaurant, brings traditional Portuguese cuisine with a modern twist, creating a delightful gastronomic journey that exceeds every expectation. Each dish is a delicacy for your tastebuds, offering flavors your mind never knew it craved.

The service was absolutely incredible. Each waiter knew the menu inside and out, answering every question with expertise. They were extremely professional, attentive to our needs, and ensured our wine glasses were never empty, seamlessly keeping the wine pairing flowing.

During this trip, I also visited another local Michelin star restaurant in Porto. While I won't disparage the specific Michelin restaurant, I can honestly say that In Diferente surpassed it in all categories.

We did the tasting menu and wine pairing (it is worth every penny). We both left full and believed this was the best meal we had while visiting Portugal. It is a must try if you are in the Porto area.“

“A 10-rated cafeteria. Crispy and delicious toast, top-quality coffee, delicious orange juice and desserts. They treated us very well, we went with 2 dogs and they let us in, they gave them water and treated them great.

“We used viamichelin website for a restaurant in Porto and found Apego.It was a good decision to go here, we enjoyed it very much. We took the 5 course tasting menu with pairing wines. Each course we found very tasteful, with the pairing wine further elevating the flavors. To us the key world was balance. Each course fitted nicely with the predecessing course. The crew was very nice, taking time to explain every dish and wine in both Portugese and (perfect) English and making us feel at home. A place we certainly recommend as the people here understand what tasting and pairing means!“

“We have already visited many Michelin restaurants. But this was incredibly good from start to finish. The staff was very friendly, gave a lot of explanation about everything. It was really cool that there was something special with each dish, especially the dish with the blindfold. The combinations of some dishes really exploded in your mouth, so tasty! If you are in Porto, I definitely recommend that you make a reservation here!“

“The lady who served us Fernanda was so sweet and genuine. She’s one of the best waitresses we’ve had on holidays so far. She was polite and always smiling. She was friendly and professional. She made our experience wonderful. The waiter who provided us complimentary wine was also great, very friendly. Everyone we interacted with was lovely. Views and ambience was great, food was delicious, only downfall was portion size. The lamb my hubby got was super small considering the price. Overall it was a lovely dinner though.“

“Wow, this was the best pokebowl ever had! Really soft and fresh and tasteful ingredients. And the best part: you can make healthy choices like quinoa or brown rice. Really loved it and highly recommend it!

“Note there are 2 sister Nola Kitchens cafes. Wide selection of healthy desserts and beverages I was mega impressed by the vegan dessert options - labelled as PB on menu.  Using quality ingredients is clearly their mission and good to find adaptogenic drinks here too. Theres a few light bites but not a substantial food menu. I'll definitely be back, especially as its open everyday until 11pm!“
