“Coffee is great, but the main guy running the cash register was the nicest man. When trying to learn and speak Portugese, I run into many words I still don't know. This happened when ordering coffee. Instead of dismissing my confusion and just speaking to me in english, he clarified and helped me learn a few more words and phrases while speaking to me in portugese. That's service, and that shows care. Made me feel comfortable.“

“A 10-rated cafeteria. Crispy and delicious toast, top-quality coffee, delicious orange juice and desserts. They treated us very well, we went with 2 dogs and they let us in, they gave them water and treated them great.
A 10 for the site, highly recommended and good price.“

“Wow, we had a great breakfast there today. The restaurant is located on a not-so-busy street and that's what's really nice. The interior is harmonious, there was a little jazz playing in the background and the atmosphere was great for our breakfast. The service was very nice and the breakfast was rich and very tasty.
There's no outside area, but that's not a bad thing. I can recommend the restaurant without reservation!“

“Perfect little Portuguese café for breakfast or a snack in between. The toasts with cheese & tomato or cheese & ham are particularly recommended. Pastel de Nata and the Portuguese chocolate croissant were also outstanding. Extremely friendly owner who provides excellent service!“

“Located in one of the city's most trendy neighborhoods - Bonfim - Dona Mira reflects the city's climate of diversity and cultural effervescence. This can be seen as soon as you enter the bar, with the exhibition of photographs of the bar's owners interacting with some of the most important musicians in Brazil. The tribute makes perfect sense since both Carlos and Valéria are renowned producers and singers, respectively.
Here you can find both the comfort to read while drinking a coffee on a rainy afternoon, and the space to share a good wine and some snacks while chatting with friends. At the back of the café there is a terrace where you can make the most of the longest and softest days of the year and, in addition, there is a library. If you didn't bring your book with you to enjoy the moment, no problem, Dona Mira has a library of books to borrow and, even better, there is a small bookstore full of Brazilian editions that are not always easy to find here in Portugal.“

“We drank a perfectly extracted double and a single espresso, clear notes without excess acidity or bitterness, I observed the barista's workflow, super fluid with all the necessary steps to obtain consistently good coffee, we were also very well served by another barista who was very Friendly and even brought water to the table when we finished our coffees, if I lived nearby it would be a cafe to go to every day.“

“Visited for brunch following many recommendations, which were all spot-on. Even though there was a queue when we arrived, we got a table fairly quickly and service was pretty fast. We loved the food (smoked salmon bowl, and waffles with tempura chicken), and the iced teas were also very nice, especially the passion fruit matcha.“

“Really welcoming place, with a small interior decoration that is very relaxing thanks to the sound of the water flowing in the small fountain and the chirping of the birds
We tasted a not bad pastel de Nata (I think it's spelled like that), a slice of good chocolate cake and a portion of very good passion fruit cheesecake + a coke and a ginger ale all for less than 10 euros
Friendly and smiling staff
Highly recommended“

“I visited today with my favorite person for some coffee after lunch. I love Galão in Portugal; drinking it is one of my favorite things. I had noticed this café while walking past the bridge before, so we decided to give it a try today. The prices for our drinks were not touristy at all—considering the location and view, they were very reasonable. The owner (or perhaps the manager) seemed very friendly.“

I had strawberry field and brunch salmon set.
Cafe latte and espresso with milk
The portions are huge and the brunch set especially goes well with a variety of ingredients.

“We stumbled onto this place while heading to another place for breakfast. Thank goodness we did.
From the moment we walked in until we left, we were surrounded with amazing energy, from everyone that worked there.
The food was amazing, and seemed a little more like home than we’d had since we visited Portugal. Don’t get me wrong, I love to emerge myself in the culture, but a lot of the restaurants in this area seem to serve the same thing as the other restaurants. So when we found this place, that seems to march to a beat of their own drum, we were elated. If you enjoy American type food with a Portugal twist and even some vegetable's, this is the place for you. From the coffee, to the breakfast plates to the desserts, this place was just delicious!!!!
The atmosphere was great as well, so cute and so fun. We didn’t eat outside on the back patio, but next time we will for sure. That area was adorable.
I can’t wait to return to Porto, so we can go back, over and over again. We already decided to stay in this area, so that we can have this place close by.“

“We look for places that are not typical tourist traps, not only because of the price, but also because of the local atmosphere. That turned out to be the case. They are kind, the food is delicious, the coffee is good. The Francesinha was enough until the evening, so filling!“

“We went to try it and we loved it, my boy not so much because as always he makes the wrong choice.
I had noodles with beef, it was very delicious, my boy ordered the same but with chicken, the chicken was obvious because it was there, but the flavor was not that bad.
We will return to try more things, among others, the coffee with egg that caught our attention.“

“We had already passed by the bar a few times and one night we decided to eat there, the bar is very original, the service was very honest and sincere.
When the bar owner told me: “You won’t regret it, the food here is very good.” We had no doubts, the food would be good.
The bread was excellent, the toast was very well made and the omelet was excellent.
Thank you very much!“

“4.5/5*
This was a dense and large francesinha, utilising a lot of cheese and with a medium-rare sirloin steak inside. The chorizo inside was Smokey, salty and perfectly spiced. There was also a beautifully creamy, fatty, melting mortadella included in this francesinha. The sauce had the perfect balance of sweetness from the port, spice, creaminess, a savoury tomatoey flavour and a slight bitterness from the beer. The egg on top was ideally runny, the bread was lightly crispy, and the cheese was thick, creamy and deliciously high in cholesterol. The chips on the side were outstanding in combination with the sauce, crispy, salty and ready to be drenched.
The Pasteis de bacalhau were incredibly creamy, made from potato, dried cod fish (bacalhau: a Portuguese delicacy), onion, garlic, olive oil and parsley. The interior was soft like a mashed potato consistency and the exterior has a lightly crusted, hash brown like layer. These croquettes are easy to come by all over Portugal, with both the smallest of restaurants serving them and also the most sophisticated ones. We appreciated the slight nutmeg flavour in this batter.“

“Excellent service, good music and extremely well located.
Regarding the food, it was really surprising, the fantastic combinations they make.
I suggest asking the staff what to choose because they got it right for me!
Without a doubt, it does justice to their excellent reputation, being considered a must-have to visit in the city by the Portuguese!
There is no equal, they make a difference, I will definitely come back!
Thank you Zenith ?“

“These are some of the best cakes I've had in Portugal. They are very creamy. The decoration of the premises imitates a simple factory. If you arrive at a good time you can see how they prepare the cakes from the display case. So if you want to make a short stop for a coffee, this is a good place.“

“Espaço 77 is my favorite haunt for coxinha and a cold beer. I’ve tried other salgados there - not bad, but nothing beats that big coxinha. Last time, they even served me a shot that went down in flames - literally ??

“Nothing particularly interesting in this francesinha and in this space. Maybe it's a matter of taste, but the sauce is extremely spicy, which I don't like and doesn't allow me to fully taste the other ingredients. The sausages were nice, but the steak was too rare and dry.
The service is relatively fast but quite depersonalized. When we arrived, we waited 10 minutes at the door without any type of interaction from the staff who completely ignored our presence.“

“Everything is super fast, excellent service, on time, even though it gets busy, they have very good service, they served us in Spanish without a problem, they make the food on the spot too, in fact you can see how they prepare it, at least in the case of the francesinha. Which by the way is quite delicious, the menu is in Portuguese and English. They have TVs, in one they were showing the Braga soccer game and in the other the Olympics“

“Very nice place! The person who attend us was nice, even in the last 45 min before closing. Thank you! He served us very well, recommended us... Food was delicious and local style, vegetable soup was surprisingly delicious, I also tried an amazing flan / pudding, hand and home made. I would like to repeat to try the main dishes, and we only tried what remains as kind of Portuguese "tapas". Totally recommended.“
