“It's really delicious, friendly and cheap! If you come to Porto, I recommend you to come here :) I had steak, fried onions, Francesinha, potato chips, rose sangria, and green wine, and it cost 55 euros. I hope you order all the essential foods! The staff are also very friendly.“

“Those who have not made a reservation are advised to queue up at 10 o'clock before the store opens. There are quite a few seats in the store, but it is a bit crowded; the store staff are very friendly. The bread and olives served at the beginning cost 1.8 euros per dish. The francesina is delicious, but the cheese at the end is a bit salty. I recommend ordering the filet for the steak, which is not too tough. You must order the Sangria for wine. It’s delicious, filling, and photogenic. The toilet is on the first basement floor. Overall, it’s very nice. Nice restaurant ? It is recommended that two people order a vegetable and a glass of wine each and they will be very full!“

“A place with a very good atmosphere, we went at the last minute for dinner and the truth is that everything was very good for a snack/quick dinner with some beers or wine. Highly recommended place to go alone or with friends at any time of the day“

“We went in July 2022 but I forgot to leave a review and it was such an amazing experience I thought it’s better late than never! It was a beautiful summer’s day and we had the option to sit inside or outside. We chose the table next to the wall overlooking the river which was so beautiful. And from then everything was perfect.Beautiful looking and tasting dishes, amazing wine and above all top notch service from Rui Santos. What an amazing sommelier and waiter he is. One of the best I have ever come across.Thank you for an experience I will remember for ever.“

“Nice and welcoming place. The wines ordered were good, perhaps a little limited choice, but still fine.Sore points: prices for food are very high compared to average. Very slow service, we resisted ordering 2 more glasses due to the timing, furthermore after asking to pay we waited 20 minutes, even though we were in a hurry“

“This is the first restaurant I visited after arriving in Porto for a TV program. It wasn't because it opened at 12:30, but because I didn't have anything to do when I arrived, I decided to get there early, but by 12:13, a Chinese couple had already arrived, and we were the second. And then there were 7 teams behind... I was lucky enough to get a good seat right away as soon as the restaurant opened. (Oh, by the way! It doesn't open at 12:30, but enters around 12:40). There were three of us, and it was Oba who ordered two seafood and octopus rice. There is no need to eat seafood here. The sea bass is really delicious, so be sure to order it. The aperitif bread is also delicious!“

“Stopped in just about 2100. Seated right away. My order of cod was the recommendation from server. I also accepted the suggested wine. I was served by 2115. Piping hot, crispy outside and perfectly cooked moist flaky inside. Cod came on a bed of deliciously crisp fresh potato chips. I lioved my experience at O Rapido.“

“I wanted to share the wonderful experience that 6 friends have had in "Cafeína", a restaurant where all 5 senses are activated. We have enjoyed each dish, each glass of wine and each dessert to the point of excellence, with that background music, all accompanied by the professionalism of André who explained each dish and the history of his wines to us with utmost perfection. Thank you for everything André, I hope your boss appreciates what a great professional you are because this group of Valencians, we are not going to forget you. Thank you for everything André and the entire Caffeina team. :)“

“I went to eat Francesinha. The owner and staff are friendly. After trying it, I understand why people like it and dislike it.The spiciness of the sauce can be adjusted. The only downside is that it is less salty because you order the spicy sauce. However, since there is no salt in the French fries that come with it, it neutralizes the saltiness of the Francesinha to some extent. I don't know if it is possible to adjust the saltiness, but if you can, ask for it to be less salty. Do it. I think it will be much more delicious. The food itself is very delicious as long as it is less salty. It can be greasy, so beer or cola is a must. Just one order is enough to complete a meal.“

“We ordered for starters the beetroot, the cured duck and the beef fried balls, the cured duck was very good, not chewy at all. The octopus dish was really tender with some vegetable tempura and salad vinaigrette. The beef tartare came with little puff toastadas, it had a bit too much mustard. The steak was pretty tender and the side of fries was amazing! For dessert we had the chocolate mousse with ice cream vanilla and the other fruity dessert with persimmons. Both were really good. We had the mojito tropical and the new fashion both pretty sweet.“

“A beautiful setting with an excellent experience. We really enjoyed our meal here, with an interesting menu all of which was delicious, and an excellent wait staff who provided good suggestions. I particularly enjoyed the potato butter and egg starter, the croaker and acorda main and the French toast desert. Would absolutely recommend.“

“A bit of a walk from the waterfront/center area, but well worth it. Vegetarian options available, dark beer on tap, great food. The type of place that the locals eat at. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed.Vegetarian options: On the menu!“
“All opinions here are personal, therefore... Great bar, excellent place with good people, great service. It's worth experiencing. Remembering that it is a bar and sometimes crowded, things can sometimes take a while, but it is worth the experience.“

“Typical local café/bar where locals come to have a traditional snack or beer, with a great view over the river. The menu is a bit tapas'ish, in terms of you can order many small things, and is all great.Try the cabbage soup, cod sandwich, a bifana, or a plate of Rocket dish (super tender pork), but you'll be pleasantly surprised with all, and the prices are very reasonable. 4 of us tried the whole menu for about 40 euros, including beer.Unfortunately, they don't do Fado anymore on Tuesdays. If you want to eat, you'll have to be early as the kitchen sells out quickly, think 16-17:00, not much later.“

“I first discovered bolhao bbgourmet in 2022 as a go-to breakfast place near my hotel. The granola and yogurt with fruit breakfast is outstanding. Now I go there for all my meals, and everything they do is impressive. Very good staff and elegant, simple decor. Highly recommended.“

“I had the soup of the day, broccoli ? risotto, with pedras Limao, and a cuppachino to end with. Soup and main meal was amazing. The cuppachino tasted amazing, but was served as a half cup, not to the top sadly. Else, it was a very small place, we were a big group of about 15 people, I did not see any menue available, but the waiter shouted out the options and took orders in bulk. It was great service! I would go back :) keep it up :)Vegetarian options: Vegetarian soup, and Broccoli ? rissoto.“

“What a wonderful experience.I went without knowing where I was going... taken by a friendly couple but the promise was to eat well.It was even better than that.An unbelievable experience.A restaurant, which is an institution... faithful to a typical restaurant, which I believe has changed little since its opening. We started with the fish soup, which was divine. The food is all wonderful, so much so that we couldn't even choose, we ordered a little of each (veal, rabbit, neck and short rib) and I can't even say which was the best. I remember the taste of veal, which fell apart perfectly. We finished with a wonderful chocolate mousse.Real food. A friendly owner and a space that I hope will last over time.I will certainly be back.“

“Hidden gem in the city centre!!! Amazing and truly authentic Portuguese food, with very kind and attentive service. It’s like eating at a Portuguese friend’s house but better!!! Order the dish of the day, it will be delicious no matter what it is! Had the grilled sardines and they were soooooo good! The duck rice was also incredible. I highly recommend this place if you want to avoid the touristic places and eat great traditional food in a quieter, local street!!“

“Little gem. Traditional local food, and prepared with love. You can and will immediately taste this. The owner and his son work together, so it's truly a family business. Come here if you want something else then half a chicken with fries. The food prepared is truly amazing.“

“They are very friendly regardless of their English. However, I don't know if I was lucky, but they all had reserved seats and I think I went and ate alone. I wanted to eat octopus rice, but they said it wasn't possible that day, so I ordered fried squid in oil? I ate the food and it was delicious. It felt like a restaurant that only regular people would go to.Is the price also 17 euros? I was a bit surprised that it came out like this even though I ordered one coke and one croquette.“

“Very nice outdoor restaurant with singer on the square and little cover for the evening! ✨️This place is a place to recommend for eating traditional Portuguese dishes. ??The employees are very friendly and give good advice when choosing dishes and wines. Special mention for Josoué who has good vibes, he speaks French very well and sings happy birthday very well in Portuguese ?“

“Everything was perfect for this restaurant: location on the small square facing a beautiful church with azulejos. Musician to accompany our meal on the terrace which is very pleasant. Very good service and delicious dishes with a "show" on duty as for the smoked salmon and the excellent chocolate cake with caramel: one of the best memories of the beautiful city of Porto. To recommend !“
“We wanted to construct a cheese, charcuterie and sardine platter from the local fresh food markets and speciality stores but didn’t realise that Sunday just about everything is closed in Porto. Thankfully not this place!! It’s not cheap and because they carry a little bit of everything, the ranges of cheeses and charcuterie are quite small but we were still able to create a lovely spread for two (with the addition of blanched green beans I made and red wine provided by our host). The staff member was helpful and patient while we browsed around the store.“
“Bad weather, so eating inside on the second floor of the hotel. Nice room with quiet atmosphere. Menu was interesting, definitely not for children, though. Very reasonable priced wine list. Attentive service with a sense of humor and the server had excellent English language skills.“

“We had a good dinner but below our expectations. Everything was good, but the ceviche was much more tasty, the salad with chickpeas was not very tasty, the cod was good and with a pleasant sauce but the cooking point was a bit overcooked and not juicy. The extra-flat suckling pig had a crunchy outer layer without the special grace of when you have tasted a good suckling pig, and the correct meaty interior, but it was missing the third grace of a suckling pig, which is the honeyed part. As I said, we had a good dinner but at a higher price than deserved. The correct attention, but personally I prefer that there are not 5 different people who attend to me. If, as they say, they want a Michelin star, they have to improve.“

“The views are remarkable. To can sit on the patio watching as the sky slowly fades to black and the lights of Porto below start to emerge is second only to a few. The long and short of it is this a hotel restaurant. There were some solidly developed items and some side that are still needing of development. Overall, I’d come here again being drawn in by the vista and stay for a slow savory meal.“
“We had a lovely New Year's Eve here! The staff was very friendly and very passionate about their cuisine. Atmosphere was very romantic and the food was excellent! Beautiful restaurant with amazing food, great service. Highly recommend!“

“I ate a magnificent roasted fish with some excellent roasted potatoes. It was at the point of salt (little salt) and cooking. I've eaten sea bass rice there several times and sometimes it had too much salt.It took some time but a baked fish has to be done right away. This was divine...“

“We were there on Sunday without a reservation...The owner was kind enough to make room for us and called us after five minutes (normally he would tell us that there was no room and we would have left quietly). Very cozy place, great service. If you want to get out of Porto's tourist circuit a bit, it is ideal...to repeat of course.“

“We went without a reservation and we had to sign up for a long waiting list that ultimately translated into about 30 minutes of waiting. They have an entrance with seats already arranged for those waits. If you want to avoid this you have to make a reservation. The place inside looks like a highway restaurant, with a store with various items. They also have a couple of cameras with very appetizing meat but we went to eat francesinha. It was good, mine came with an egg on top and a plate on the side with refried potatoes. Not to compare it with other francesinhas because it is the second time I have tried it but as I say, it was good. The service is very correct, an entourage of waiters ensure that you don't miss anything. And the atmosphere, well….a little overwhelming with so many people but not uncomfortable either. I recommend it, without further ado.“

“100% our favourite restaurant in Porto. We had dinner here twice during our stay because we loved it so much so highly recommend. The prawns are incredible and we had them both times. Absolutely and easily the best prawns I've had. If you don't book then you can go and put your name on the waiting list and sit outside and have a drink while you wait. We waited maybe an hour but it was so lovely to sit and drink wine with a gorgeous view of the river. We booked the second time and you sit inside, which is lovely but personally I preferred the more relaxed vibe of outside and would have happily waited again. The staff was wonderful.“

“Good but not great considering the price point. Best dish was the tiger prawns, weakest dish was “The Cod”, it wasn’t very flavorful if you had it on its own w/o the onions on topBest to make a reservation via call if you want to avoid sitting at a large communal table with others when there’s a queueService was warm even when they were swamped so 5 stars for that!“

“Quite a discovery in a residential area.Japanese food on one hand and delicious fish on the other. We tried the gyozas (we are fans of Japanese food and they are the best we have ever tried), a salmon tataki and a free styles sushi (the 50-piece one). Also, one of us ordered cod (cooked Portuguese style) which was perfect. The desserts are very good.“
