“A very nice experience in this small restaurant in a small street a stone's throw from Porto city hall. Local cuisine allowing you to discover local cold meats and cheeses. The manager speaks French and is very pleasant. Good atmosphere.“

“Beautiful spot in Porto, right by the Douro. Great wine selection and very reasonably priced, considering its location. The staff speak great English and can give recommendations for drinks. We had a Portotonico as we were already heading out to a wine tasting, but we will be back again the next time we are in Porto!“

“Good, but it can be improved a lot. We arrived at the place with 1 5 year old child and 1 5 month old baby. We had a small stroller. The restaurant was not completely full, with nicer tables on the terrace, where we said we wanted to stay. The immediate response was that the baby's stroller would interfere with the service. After some insistence, we decided to “give it a try”. I knew that the cart would be practically imperceptible because it was small and there was space, and there wasn't even a passageway for the employees where it was located. And so it was. We had lunch, but at no point did we feel welcome. There is a lack of smiles, courtesy and attention to customers. Our questions about the menu were answered unwillingly. The food was delicious, but I wouldn't go back, unfortunately.“

“It seemed like it was in a station, but I didn't think there was an entrance from inside the station, and when I looked for the entrance from the outside, there were a lot of construction boards, so it felt a bit eerie. It would be better to go inside the station. It opens for dinner at 7 o'clock, but I couldn't make a reservation, so I walked in, and at 8 o'clock, I was asked if I could sit in the reserved table for other guests, so I quickly ate and left within an hour (the woman who assigned me a seat was very kind).I ate cataplanna with rice, which Koreans love, and it was a taste that brought warmth to my exhausted body after walking around in the rain.“

“I'm living in Porto for a month. This is the most delicious I've ever eaten. This is my first time logging into Google at a restaurant while eating to write a review.Duck Steak Medium RarePortuguese Creamy Biscuit CakeBe sure to try these twoDuck steak is made with port wine sauce. It's sweet and moist on the outside.I thought it was a different duck from the ducks I knew in my life. The desserts are especially great.I don’t know why Porto is famous for its egg tarts. This Porto traditional cake is even crazier.Second review after 6 daysEven though we ate the same menu,I enjoyed it so muchThis time the drink was decaffeinated coffee.I wonder why it's so deliciousSweet and salty duck meat steakThe combination of sweet and salty cake goes well together. The texture of the steak is tangy on the outside and inside. The biscuit cake also tastes good on the outside haha.Even the second time, it's not as delicious.I am very satisfied“

“A place where I will return every time I am in Porto. Typical Baião food and drink, which is delicious. Pedro welcomes you as if you were at home and conveys the love he has for his land, local products and what he does.If you want to eat delicious, quality food at a good price and impeccable service, this is the place not to be missed.Thank you Pedro for your hospitality and experience!“

“I discovered this place thanks to a video app, and I am extremely grateful. It is hidden, but it is worth going up the stairs… the view from the terrace is exceptional. And I enjoyed one of the best sunsets in Porto, along with a good wine, and good music. It is worth highlighting the attention of its staff. Thank you so much!“

“Do yourself a favour and don't eat along the Quayside that's where all the tourists go.Venture up a side street and you come across this amazing restaurant. The owner and staff are just fantastic so polite and accommodating.I was shown to a table upstairs which was perfect and had great views with lovely decor and atmosphere. The waitresses helped choose the food and wine which was perfect. The food was gorgeous and so tasty served at just the right speed leaving a little time between each course to relax and enjoy the meal.If I could give this restaurant more than five stars then I would, I definitely recommend this restaurant.“

“The sirloin sandwich with cheese, although we know it is something basic, is exceptional. The meat is butter in your mouth. We ate it accompanied by a Porto-tonic that I don't think there is any better in Porto...and for 5 euros! The friendliness of the waiters also deserves special attention!“

“The food was delicious and the service was unbeatable. Highly recommended.I recommend taking advice from the owner and ordering whatever they have for the dish of the day (in our case we were lucky that it was Portuguese stew). But you can always order other typical Portuguese dishes that are on the menu daily.“

“The food was amazing, the service was next level and the atmosphere was out of this world! It is a small 5 table restaurant, with the tables nearly in the kitchen. There were three of us and we ordered nearly everything on the menu and everything was delicious. We have been in Porto for a week and this meal was the highlight of the trip!“

“Great place in Porto. We had dinner there and the service and atmosphere are very good. We ordered the green soup, a cheek with great flavor that surprised us, and the wood-fired cod, which was a 10. Great value for money. Highly recommended if you are looking for a meal prepared in a charming place.“

“Sergio (the owner) brightened up our evening both as a host and as a person, not only with the food and the little show, but also with the extremely good conversation. Thank You!Fast, friendly service, great food and no queues. If you want an authentic and real traditional "food experience", choose Boca de Cena!!!“
“So glad to have come for our last dinner in Porto in this little quaint, family run restaurant. Eliseo is a perfect host that made is feel at ease and he has lots of knowledge of where they get their produce and the quality of the food is nothing short of amazing. Chef Carina’s cooking is 10/10. You can tell that she made everything with love. We got the ribeye steak with potatoes on the side. The meat is so tender and it bursts of flavour. I think this is because of the combination of quality beef and excellent cooking. Great selection of wine from Duoro whether you like fruity, aromatic or elegant. I highly recommend this restaurant to everyone in the area!“

“We found this place on the way down the hill from the cathedral. We got two bifanas, two waters and two espressos for under 15 euro. The bifanas were great, I loved the peppers in them. We sat outside in the most wonderful little courtyard. It was quiet, delicious and very affordable. I definitely recommend!“

“The service isn't the most friendly but it's ok. The food is very tasty, from the pan tumaca to the broken eggs, we were surprised with every bite. The marinated secret sandwich is divine. A great place to have a beer and eat quality food. We recommend!“

Just soooooo good! The only 'meh' thing we've tried was the Tres Leches dessert, which is very dry. “The very small place in the old part of Porto remains a bit hidden. Cocktails up to a maximum of 16 euros are a little expensive. The cutting boards are ok but the prices are affected by the tourist wave that has touched Portò in recent years. A few euros less wouldn't be bad.“
