“We came here off of a recommendation from our host and we’re thrilled that we did.The food so good, it’s a nice touch that the menu changes regularly and that it all explained so well. The menu is really interesting, there were some pairings that were new to us. Every mouthful was delicious.The service was also impeccable. Everyone was so friendly and attentive. We were made to feel right at home and we weren’t rushed.Pricing is great too, we expected to pay a lot more than we did.10/10 would recommend ?“

“Delicious food - we had mushroom empanadas and a rib steak both of which were delicious and cooked exceptionally.The atmosphere was a little quiet given it was a Saturday night - but that also meant we were able to get a table when surrounding places were full. Not sure why it’s not busier the food is excellent.“

“The perfect place to learn about Port wine. She was away from the hustle and bustle in a quiet street. The owner speaks English, is very friendly, honest and communicative - he explained everything to us and we tasted it in a friendly atmosphere. The basic tasting is 4 types of Port wine at the price of EUR 3.50 per glass. Payment only in cash, but there is an ATM nearby. We recommend!“

Being lovers of wine, but ignorant of Portuguese viticulture, we are in the hands of the staff wherever we go and in this quaint venue (approximately 20 people capacity, one chef, one front of house) with great views of the Atlantic, our waitress gave us wonderful recommendations based on a the types of wine we enjoy and with the proviso they had to be native to Portugal. She nailed it! We ordered the tuna and beef tartare. The tuna came on a bed of rice giving it a Japanese type of flair and was just as delicious as the beef tartare. We intended to have one bottle before dinner at another venue but stayed for 3! “I am staying in a hostel nearby. I passed by this local bar by chance on a Friday night. I went in for some quick bites and some beers. The bifana and chicken wings were deliciously and completely blew my expectations away. The server was sweet, and the owner was amazing. He was in the bar socializing the whole night. He offered some treats and constantly checked up on everyone. The bar got packed with locals later in the evening, and the atmosphere was incredible.“
