Toast

“We had the pleasure of staying near to the cafe for a week . Truly the best toast I have ever tasted , bread is so fresh and lots of butter and jam . Toast is one of life’s simple pleasure and this cafe knows who to serve it - better than Majestic cafe . Staff are friendly and take away bread and Portuguese tarts are equally special . Will miss my toast breakfast next week ?“

“The vegetarian Francesihas was delicious and cooked with love. Service was wonderful as we were made to feel so welcome. Highly recommended.Vegetarian options: Cabbage and carrots work so well in this dish. The tomato sauce is out of this world.“

“It is one of the best pastry shops in Porto. Tried the normal and chocolate croissant, really good. Excellent espresso coffee. Generous portions and cheap prices for a historic café.You can choose any type of dessert offered on the counter (there are many).“

“Incredible experience. Atmosphere -perfect! Dined at Suba for Christmas with our two boys (18 & 24). Enjoyed a cocktail before dinner on rooftop bar, intimate and best view of city. For dinner we Enjoyed The Path tasting menu which was creative and delicious. Entire staff was attentive, knowledgeable and professional. A meal we will never forget. A must if you are in Lisbon.“

“With this space's motto being: "Passion for what we do!", obviously its pastry offering reflects its predilection for making creative delicacies, such as A Nata de Licor Beirão, or Nata de Caipirinha! The sweet treats also stand out because they allude to the toponymy of the nearby environment, providing those who taste them with a unique experience! I would like to suggest tasting an "Aliados", for those who appreciate the marriage between chila and almonds. As for savory snacks, it's worth trying the crunchy Tímbale de Vegetais, and for breakfast, eat a wonderful Biju bread!Congratulations on your investment in the creative diversification of the pastry offering, which is a delight for those who come here looking for a pleasant break to "recharge their batteries"!"When there is sweetness and delicacy in gestures, the effect is felt in the soul."Sueli Matochi.“

Allegro Confeitarias Monsanto Patisserie/Cake Shop • $$
R. de Monsanto 469A

“The 4 stars are exclusively for the manager and the place itself, which are both very excellent. The reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that Portuguese employees look very badly at customers, even worse if it's someone from another ethnic group. I was very well attended to by a Cape Verdean employee, 10 points for her. Zero rating for Portuguese employees, as I think they should be the ones representing our nationality“

“Not sure why people are stuck at Majestic cafe? I like this place way better, as they have more variety of bakeries and are not over charged. Our server was very attentive although he wasn't fluent in English. The style of the restaurant is more neighborhood friendly.“
