About Tentações no Prato

Tentações no Prato is a small, authentic Portuguese tavern in Porto, offering a home-cooked meal experience. The menu features fresh and delicious options, including cod and octopus, with highlights like Bife Tentacao and pataniscas. The restaurant has a cozy atmosphere, with an open kitchen and limited seating, making it a hidden gem that fills up quickly. The owner, Mrs. Eva, provides great service and a friendly welcome, creating a feeling of a family business. While space is limited and prices may be inflated due to tourism, the delicious home cooking and amazing specials make this restaurant definitely worth a visit. Reservations are highly recommended, but waiting for a table is also an option—it's worth it for the tasty offerings, including delightful homemade desserts like pudding and baked apple with ice cream.

This is easily my favorite restaurant in Foz. Our family of 4 comes to this hidden gem regularly; we adore the delicious food and the cozy atmosphere. We've yet to have a dish that we didn't love, but our favorites are Bife Tentacao & the pataniscas. The specials are always amazing, too. And try to save room for their homemade desserts! It's a small place so it fills up fast - make a reservation if you can (or, opt to wait - it's worth it!!).

We were lucky to be accepted even though all the tables were reserved.
Delicious home cooking and friendly welcome.
I recommend this address but advise booking in advance

It's the perfect place to get a Portuguese style home cooked meal. You can feel it's a family business, and they are very kind! We had the Bolinhos de Bacalhau as a starter. For main we got the alheira and the Bacalhau with the onion. For dessert the pudding and the baked apple with ice cream. Everything was tasty and lovely.
