Le Riverain

On our driving trip from The Point at Lake Saranac New York to Quebec City we stopped off at the Ripplecove Hotel & Spa in Ayers Cliff, Canada. Le Riverain is the on-site restaurant for Ripplecove Hotel & Spa (but is open to the public). Located along the shores of Lake Massawippi, Le Riverain has a serene vibe that matches its upscale dining experience. This is the restaurant of the Ripplecove Inn, somewhat away from the town of Ayer's Cliff on the peaceful shoreline of a sheltered cove at the west end of Lake Massawippi. The cove is of no interest to the speed-boats and skiers visible in the distance, so all you'll hear is occasional quacks and hoots of waterfowl paddling past your white-cloth table. The food?
