“I walked in here by chance, the decoration is very fun but also quite extravagant, I wasn’t sure what to expect.
The café itself has very little space to sit: there’s a narrow bench along one window and a small counter with four stools facing the other window (though realistically, it fits about three people comfortably). Since there was only one person working at the time, service took a little longer than usual, and our drinks were served in disposable cups.
To my surprise, it turned out to be one of the best cappuccinos I’ve had in Québec, absolutely delicious. The espresso was also excellent. The spinach and feta scone was solid, and the pistachio roll/muffin was a real treat.
Inside the cafe, it’s a bit hard to tell what day or time it is, the place has a kind of surreal, timeless atmosphere. They also sell various souvenir-like items and specialty products.
Definitely worth stopping by.“

“Petit déjeuner samedi matin: pancakes a la citrouille. Je suis seule mais pas seul. Un bel endroit où je me sens comme chez une amie. Le service est toujours courtois. “Café Mila is such a gem! The cozy, welcoming atmosphere makes it the perfect spot to get some work done or simply relax with a nice chai latte. The variety of vegan treats, beverages, and sandwiches is amazing – everything is so fresh and delicious. “My friend and I had just finished dinner when we decided to take a walk along the streets of Quebec.
I loved the spirit of the city — even in the freezing cold, thousands of people filled the streets, walking together as if celebrating a sacred day, like the return of Christ himself. There was a sense of unity in the air, as though everyone shared one heartbeat, blessed in the quiet grace of God.
As we strolled, my friends noticed a group of Chinese girls taking photos inside a cozy coffee shop. Being Chinese themselves, they laughed and nudged me to go check it out. The place was packed — utterly alive. Though it called itself a coffee shop, it served wine and cocktails too, and the crowd buzzed with energy. Conversations, laughter, and clinking glasses filled the space. Despite the noise, I felt a deep joy to be among them, caught in that moment of shared exuberance.
The French people had something special about them — a natural charm, tall frames, and radiant ease. None carried the heaviness I often sense in Ontario. They seemed both grounded and spirited, effortlessly alive.
At one point, an older man stood beside me in the checkout line, grumbling softly but somehow adding to the scene’s character. Soon after, we found seats, and the drinks arrived quickly. My friends insisted they tasted far better than the ones we usually get back home — and I had to agree.“

“Very good, crispy. We enjoyed spending time there. The staff is good, we don't have much to complain about our stay at this Mr. Puffs.
Please note that it is better to eat them quickly otherwise they become soft and are less pleasant to eat. We always take “Bueno” they are our favorite.“
“My friend and I visited this afternoon on our way to the train station; even with large suitcases in tow we were able to tuck them into a corner and were welcomed by the staff and the kitties. This cafe is very cozy and feels more like being invited into someone’s home than a commercial coffee house; that said, the croissant and mocha are on par - if not better than - other coffee shops in the area, especially in terms of value for price. The cats all seemed happy, and it was nice to see them napping openly around the cafe - a sure sign that they trust their environment and their humans! As well, it’s so refreshing to see a business that makes an active effort to be inclusive in their hiring practices, in terms of prioritizing employment opportunities for persons with disabilities, with autistm, etc. We look forward to coming back the next time we are in Quebec!“

“Great discovery, wide choice of flavors. It's original and very good! I recommend the place. The puffs are a little greasy but at the same time they're fried so that's normal. Their ice cream is also very good. I would definitely come back. The staff are pleasant and helpful. Excellent biscoff flavor. A much appreciated little sweet treat.“

“Fantastic matcha. The best matcha I’ve found in Canada overall, it had a clean, umami taste. Not fishy like some of the matchas I’ve had in the area (no clue why this is the case). The barista asked for allergies before recommending anything, which was very thoughtful.“

“Best coffee I've ever had really just outside the old city great location and atmosphere, very nice staff on st jean ( John) street on one of coolest street in Quebec City it's the Bohemian neighborhood with many shops and restaurants with a great atmosphere just outside the old city but is one of a oldest neighborhoods in the city great pubs as well.“
