“The vibes and atmosphere of this restaurant are immaculate. Unfortunately, me and my group of 3 had to sit at the bar because there was a 2 hr wait when we arrived on Saturday night. It was so noisy, that it was impossible to hear each other across the bar.

The drinks were amazing- I had a mock-tail that I really enjoy and my friend loved their cocktails. The food was flavorful, and the dishes were quite unique, however I've had much tastier Peruvian food in places like D.C. I'd come back for the vibes and drinks as a bar-hopping stop, but would honestly try a different option for food.“

The whole place slowly transforms from a sexy dinner location to a full nightclub gradually over the course of a few hours. “Une fine cuisine mexicaine en plein contrôle de ses moyens. Tout en subtilité les arômes et les saveurs étaient à leurs pleins potentiel. Les cocktails étaient d'ailleurs vraiment tous et chacun aussi incroyables. Passant de la menthe rafraichissante dans leurs mojitos à la mangue au délectable sucré de leurs ruby rose, cocktails à base de whiskey au framboise. Tout était parfait. En ce qui a trait au service.. Mikael à été d'une aide précieuse en ce qui à trait au choix que nous avions difficulté à prendre. Un magnifique sourire tout au long de son service en plus de nous donner envie de danser de par son déhanchement subtile mais tellement sympatique. Un bijoux. The four cheese French onion soup was rich, comforting, and packed with flavor. The NYKS classic poutine was exactly what you’d want—crispy fries, savory gravy, and perfectly melty cheese curds. “ThAnd snow my kind of Japanese restaurant- no sushi at n the menu! Sure they have sashimi, and nothing against sushi per se - when it’s done as a high level food experience (almost never in the west), it’s excellent; usually, it’s fast food.

In this down tempo At Denis eatery their menu has a huge array of fair priced appetizers that are more than filling (and perfect for sharing) as well as ramen and bao and larger plates.

Their sake based cocktails and large selection of sake are impressive. And highly recommended are the grilled oyster mushrooms.

For me, attention to detail is what takes this place to another level - no ice in the water they serve you, the miso soup is dark, food is sometime served on long wooden planks for large groups. Awesome!“

“Went here last night for drinks and to play pool since it’s near my place. Pleasantly surprised. It’s small, but it’s cute and chill. Bartender and a regular named Jonathon were super nice to us and welcoming.

And everything is actually reasonably priced. Feels like pre-covid. If you wanna drink some cheap beer with your friends and maybe play some pool this is a great local pub. Will be back for sure.“

“I spent three nights in Montreal and ended up at Les Torches three times. That probably says it all. Once for dinner and twice just to come back for drinks and friendly vibe. The first night, the three of us ordered burgers, I had the double cheese smashburger and it was outstanding. Fresh ingredients, cooked perfectly, and packed with flavour. You can tell they care about quality and consistency.
The atmosphere is lively and comfortable without feeling pretentious. It’s the kind of place where you can relax and actually enjoy your meal, whether you’re on your own or with friends. The decor and lighting make it feel modern but still welcoming, and even when the place was full, it never felt chaotic or rushed.
What really stood out was the service. Truly some of the best I’ve experienced in a long time. The staff were friendly, attentive, and accommodating, even during the dinner rush. You can feel that they enjoy what they do, and that energy carries through the whole place.

Les Torches is one of those rare spots that gets everything right: great food, great people, and a great vibe. Can’t wait to come back next time I’m in Montreal. Highly recommend!“

“Trio Pancakes were flames. Good mix of flavors to satisfy a breakfast because I was on fence about a sweet or savory breakfast. The chorizo one was absolute fire and so flavorful. The salmon one was pretty good loved the ricotta. And then you can’t go wrong with apples and cinnamon that was so good.

Tried a bit of my friend’s three cheese crepe too which was so good as well. Vibe inside was great lots of big windows and natural light.“
