“Thank you for your attentive service in the bar on Trivia Night, Abi. I have enjoyed coming to the Dorval Jack Astor's for over a decade now. We can always count on positive vibes and an entertaining gathering, whether for staff meetings for example, or family outings. Birthday parties have been a big blast, especially in the Elvis corner booth. My favourite item on the menu is still the Thai coconut curry chicken bowl.“

Due to flight delays on our return to Taiwan,
we had to stay at the Marriott in the airport for four days and three nights. ✈️
Because of the heavy snow outside,
we ate dinner and breakfast at this restaurant every day. 🌞🌝❄️🌀
The staff were incredibly friendly,
and the food was absolutely amazing!
Every dish was delicious～
The rib steak was superb, incredibly tender, and perfectly cooked～🥩
The foie gras was incredibly sweet and paired wonderfully with the mushroom sauce～🦢
The duck leg had a crispy skin but was still juicy, and the pumpkin sauce was fantastic! 🦆
The beef tartare and salmon tartare are still cravings even after I returned to Taiwan～🐟🐂
The seared black cod absorbed the delicious seafood broth and was incredibly sweet～🦐
Other dishes included French onion soup, a simple Caesar salad, hamburgers, risotto, ham buns, a cheese platter, 🥗🥣🧀
and crème brûlée with a hint of orange～🍮🍊

“Been getting food from Chow's Restaurant for many years. They've only offered takeout for the last few years and you can go inside and order at the side of the building (or call ahead). The General Tao chicken, vegetables, and fried rice are always delicious and fresh.“

“Freshly prepare sushi - it was just what I was looking for. They paper menu is clearly marked which items can be prepared gluten free. If you do get sushi just a warning the they do not have GF soy sauce. I had the Vancouver Roll and the Creole Tuna Roll. Both tasted great and I did not get sick.“

The food was good for an airport restaurant, and the waiter was very detail-oriented and did a great job. Overall, the quality exceeded what you’d normally expect at an airport.

That said, be aware that service is very slow, even though it’s careful and well done. Expect to spend over 60 minutes for a full meal. Definitely take this into account when planning around your flight.“
