“Had chicken rotis from Greenz and they are absolutely incredible - best we’ve ever had. Spicing was tremendous with its own personality. Chicken was super tender and the stew was creamy. I’ll be heading back for seconds. Recommended 200%!“

“Probably the best pizza in the neighbourhood, especially without spending 30-40$+ on a single pie... Can be a little too greasy sometimes and pizza has a hard time holding up but worth it for price, the delicious house made sweet sauce, amount/quality of cheese, dough that's cooked properly (authentic) and toppings that are fresh and generous.“

“I’ve had a really good experience here, especially with the evening staff. Every time I come in, the restaurant is clean and well-maintained, and the staff are always friendly, respectful, and welcoming.

One extra thing worth mentioning is Too Good To Go. If you use the app and order one of their surprise bags, it’s honestly a great deal and an excellent option if you want to get good food for a very reasonable price.

“Stopped by the pied de porc farci a couple weeks ago on a quiet Tuesday evening and the whole place still had this warm, slightly chaotic energy that made for great candid shots. The duck in a can they prepare tableside is as rich as everyone says, and I managed to snag a nice low angle photo of the broth being poured right at the table. Our server was genuinely funny and patient while I fiddled with my camera settings between courses, never once rushing us. The dark wood interior and low lighting are tough for photos but honestly add so much character to the whole experience.“

“I had really high expectations for Restaurant Monarque and was hoping it would completely blow me away. While the food was delicious, the overall experience fell just slightly short of what I would expect from a restaurant of this caliber. Service was the main area that didn’t quite meet expectations. After being seated, we waited about 10 minutes before receiving menus and had to ask for them. Throughout the meal, interactions felt a bit rushed - several staff members who stopped by the table were somewhat brief, and on a few occasions, items like bread or water were dropped off while we tried to ask questions, but the busser had already walked away. That said, the restaurant was quite busy during lunch, so it’s possible the pace and attentiveness were impacted by that. As for the food, we ordered the albacore tuna appetizer along with the strip loin, butcher’s cut, and duck for our mains. Everything was well-prepared, though the duck portion was noticeably small. Desserts were a highlight - especially the pavlova with maracuya, which was excellent. Our server Laura was professional, though not very engaging until the very end of the meal when we were settling the bill. I would still return, as the food is strong, but I have to say that Bar George left a more lasting impression on us in terms of both food and service.“

We started with the seafood platter, then followed up with the lobster pasta and steak with foil gras. We were unsure what to order for drinks so the staff decided to get us a cocktail based on our preference and offered it to be free if we didn't enjoy the drink. They made sure to get the drinks right, even taking it back to make adjustments based on our taste. This made us feel like a priority.

“We were so excited about our return to the restaurant after having experienced its early days in its previous location. We were not disappointed with the dining in this location. It's a marvel to behold and the 10 course tasting menu was superb. The staff were all attentive and welcoming with sharing their knowledge and experience. Such a delight. For us, we would have done well with only 1 dessert course as it was difficult to finish both and the amount of bread for that course was a bit overwhelming. Everything was tasty, just a bit too much for those courses. As always, we are anxious to share our experience with anyone we know who is travelling to Montreal. Merci😊“

We had 6:00pm reservations and were 10 mins early, we had requested two seats at the bar which is where we were seated, but were told seats were needed by 7:15? We left at 7:00pm, at a time when the bar was 1/2? empty. We were not inconvenienced, my wife had just flown in from Paris and wanted to get home. However your seating times and reservations don't seem to lineup. Had we wanted to take spend more time, dinner and cocktails it didn't seem as though you could accommodate.“
