“Had the weekend breakfast brunch at Kahaani — the food was freshly prepared, though the service was a bit slow. The ambience is pleasant, and the staff is friendly. Paratha preparation could be a little faster, but overall it’s one of the best value-for-money breakfast buffets in Ottawa.

Shefali Bazaar in Ottawa was such a pleasant surprise! Their wraps and rice bowls are absolutely amazing - especially if you're craving that authentic Bengali flavor. The lamb and chicken curries were rich and delicious, and both the chicken and veggie wraps were packed with great taste and freshness.
The place is small and usually busy (which honestly tells you how good the food is!), but the service is super fast and the dishes come out fresh every time. Prices are very reasonable too, making this a great go-to spot if you're looking for something tasty without breaking the bank.
If you’re in Ottawa and anywhere near ByWard Market, Shefali Bazaar is totally worth a visit. You won’t be disappointed!“

“We started going to their east end location way back in 2005. When we moved we traveled from Barrhaven to go pick up. So glad to have the south location. Consistent, excellent food every time. 10/10 highly recommend.“

“So... there should be a 5 stars plus rating. I was getting my car serviced a couple of doors down and had my baby with me so I decided to go grab a coffee while I waited..well, the smell as soon as I walked in had me hungry instantly so I got some samosas for my wait, umm yum! I ended up leaving with a bag full of food, and all I have to say is, wow! The unmatchable customer service from the 2 ladies that served me unbelievable. Highly recommend! Thank you so much ladies I give your customer service 10 stars ❤️“

The chingri shutki is a must try!Best part about the place was the owner, a very friendly man who you can tell really cares about the food and the customers. “Found this amazing, delicious, authentic Indian vegetarian restaurant on Baseline - Royal Paan. ( 1943 Baseline Rd, Ottawa, ON K2C 0C7). Usually not very impressed by Indian resturent in Ottawa but this one touched my soul. Worth trying. I have tried couple of dishes and they all were amazing Pavbhaji Dosa, Stuffed Kulcha Channa, Dhai bahala and Hakka Noodles. The amount of food was way enough for me. The place was clean and very welcoming and friendly atmosphere. Prices are reasonable for sure. Already went 3 times and will be going again.“

“We were two and opted for Combo #1 (Arjuana). We asked to switch one item and they kindly accommodated. Everything was delicious. I noticed that they did not ask for level of spiciness and I found the lamb a bit too hot. They also forgot to serve us the included dessert (fruit salad). Would have been good to digest but overall it was good.“

“I waited 2 years to order take out (finances couldn't permit) and wasted $100 here for my bday. All 3 dishes were minimal, watery soup consistency; staples such as rice and naan were extra $, bland and over-priced, and everything needed to be reheated after driving 3 blocks to get home. I am furious at being so let down. Indian-style food is my favourite. I've tried 10+ ottawa-area Indian places in the past and this was certainly the worst.“
