À La Dérive - Brasserie Artisanale is a welcoming spot with a large selection of beers and a menu typical of a microbrewery. The atmosphere is quiet and relaxed, making it perfect for catching up with friends. The food is very good, with daily specials to check out. The brisket is tender, juicy and lightly smoked. The poutine with their signature beer gravy was carefully put together with curds and sauce all the way through. A big star was the cauliflower bites. The fries are great! On Tuesdays, visitors can enjoy a Quebecois ambiance with live folk music.
The terrace offers the prettiest view in town, while the interior is equally pleasant. The venue hosts a great diversity of cultural events such as music, poetry, exhibitions, and humor. With a large selection of quality local beers and pleasant staff, it has become a must-visit during trips to Gatineau. There are also vegetarian options on the menu, ensuring there is something for everyone. A large free parking lot is conveniently located behind the restaurant, providing easy access with always available space. The selection of beers was astounding, and Derick knew his brews. The service was awesome.
