WORLD’S BEST FRIES! I ordered a margarita and the pirate burger, which comes with fries and coleslaw. The food was good but the fries! They are the best fries I’ve had in a very long time. I’m at a loss to describe how truly good they were. They should’ve sent a poet! Will be back.

Premium location for a restaurant/pub, we walked along the Ottawa river to this place, their terrace was the best! Very large, covered and overlooking the Ottawa river. The pirate theme décor was so unique and entertaining. Service was fast. Drinks and food were delicious. Definitely going back.

After a long walk on the waterside, we stopped by this restaurant and spent $116 expecting a relaxing experience—but unfortunately, the owner’s behavior ruined it. My wife gently placed her feet on a plastic chair to rest, and the owner spoke to her in a rude, demeaning tone that you’d never expect in a customer-facing business.

What made it worse is that she never came over to apologize or show any kind of understanding. When we first arrived, we waited over 10 minutes before even being handed a menu. The only bright spot was our server, who was kind and attentive.

Sadly, the owner was cold, unwelcoming, and treated my wife like a misbehaving child. We will not be returning. No amount of decent food can make up for that kind of treatment.

A pub along a beautiful stretch of waterfront. Food if you need it, but the draw is the cocktails and mixed drinks. CheP and very tasty.

It was our first time at Le Pirate and overall, the food was good but some plates were a bit pricey for the quantity. The pasta with shrimp, lobster and chorizo was great but would had prefer an alfredo sauce as the taste of the tomato sauce was taking over all other ingredient. The steak and frite was good but the size of the steak a bit underwhelming. The melting Brie cheese was just awesome. The terrace was filled and we were not able to get a seat outdoor, so I suggest making resrvation in advance if you want to take advantage of the terrace and great view of the water. Our waitress, Alexandra, was great.

We had a good time eating our lunch and enjoyed the restaurant's good atmosphere! Serving food was a little slower than we expected, but overall, I must say, it was a good experience having our lunch and a drink or two. Let's not forget the river's view from the restaurant it is nice! 😀 👍

Le Pirate is a nice looking restaurant in a very nice location. Great service but the food is a bit lacking. It was still good but not that great. It's more like basic food for everyone. It would be nice if they would put more emphasis on the pirate yarrrr stuff. By that, I mean, don't pirate your fries from Costco! ;P If they tune up their recipe a bit, I think they could raise up the bar by a lot. Just be a bit more fancy please as I would like to return!
