It's always a good sign when the menu is short. I'd rather that the restaurant focus on fewer dishes prepared well. The Old Convent doesn't disappoint. Rich, flavourful food served with a spectacular view.
I hate calling people and it's even more of a thing when I'm in Quebec or SPM, where we don't speak the same language. This led me to (stupidly) showing up here without a reservation for dinner on my wife's birthday. They were full and didn't have any space for us, but as we were walking back to our car, the woman ran out and said the kitchen said they could squeeze us in! They saved my bacon! And we had a 2yo in tow too, which I think a lot of upscale restaurants wouldn't mind...read full review
Had dinner the food was very good, the presentation of the plates also very good. Only too bad the service was not very good. At the prices paid and the dishes offered the service should have been better. Location is beautiful but there are better places to eat. Nonetheless putting some photos of our plates here. we had the seafood pasta and the beef cheeks.

Domaine Du Vieux Couvent offers an exceptional dining experience with excellent service and friendly staff. Guests can savor their delicious dishes, such as seafood pasta, beef cheeks, and linguine with chicken and Alfredo sauce. Unique oysters with a special sauce featuring pineapple and celery are also a highlight. The restaurant boasts a fantastic view overlooking the water, making it an excellent location for enjoying meals. While the breakfast may not be filling, the evening menu is impressive, with well-presented plates. Guests can also enjoy their specialty drinks, including convent lemonade.
The establishment is a small 11-room converted convent, where the building conversion is well done, adding modern room facilities while maintaining the heritage features. Although there is no elevator, the cheerful staff are more than willing to help with luggage. Rooms are spacious, beautifully kept, and have excellent bathroom and shower facilities. The hotel is only 5 minutes from the airport and has an adjoining restaurant with nice views of the sea, making it a relaxing place to stay. While there is no overnight staff, the current owner's potential successors show promise for the future. Overall, the staff are a real highlight, being kind and accommodating, making guests eager to return.
