“I stop here a lot and love the food. Sure, there are a lot of Belle Province Restaurants in Quebec, but will they make you a smoked meat poutine for breakfast? Probably not. These guys are the best group of people ever. Try the Sous Marin Speciale. Smoked meat poutine. Or ever steamed hot dogs my toppings of choice are mustard and onion with cayenne pepper. Washed down with a glass bottle of coke. The glass bottle just makes it that much better.“

“I just ate one of the most delicious Shish Tawooq & crispy chicken sandwiches in Montreal, it reminded me of the ones I used to eat in my youngster age in Beirut, Lebanon my home city and country.
The French baguette buns are fresh with a sprinkle of sésame on top, and the chicken pieces are tender juicy, and mayo based sauce is perfectly seasoned (no ketchup and no potatoes inside ofcource).
I at the sandwiches in short minutes with extreme pleasure.
Coming again to this unexpected place of Tawooq, crispy, Philadelphia)...“

“While we've been staying in Montreal, we have gotten food from this place several times. First off, this place has a vintage cozy interior with booths that look out onto the busy street. Second, the staff here is friendly, quick, and very organized. Lastly, the food is authentic and well prepared. Our favorite thing here is an all dressed steamy and the classic poutine. We really like their gravy!“

“Qui dit mieux ? Filet de foie de bœuf avec oignons caramélisés et sauce brune, servi avec riz épicé à point. Salade du chef avec tomates, oignons rouges et concombre. “Vraiment bon !!!! Nous sommes partis de Repentigny pour aller le chercher , malgré la route de plus de 30 min , la nourriture était encore chaude et le service au take-out a été très rapide !!!! Bien hâte de l’essayer en resto direct 🥰🥰“
“Found this place after moving in the neighborhood and I come here from time to time.Just taking a table next to the window makes me feel on those typical tv shows where you have your local dining with a very friendly environment.It is remarkable how all the staff makes everybody feel welcome as family, some people arriving are acquaintances, some others just usual customers. You see them greeting people by name and even hugs for old friendships, which gives me a total warmth feeling as if I was just at home having breakfast.This has already become my favorite place to have a comfy breakfast while reading at my table and feeling “at home”.“

“This place is far from glamorous or fancy, in fact it looks like a old converted house, but for what it is, it's perfect.
The service was extremely quick, and bilingual, no complaints there.
I got home and absolutely devoured two all dressed hot dogs, and honestly one of the best poutines I've had. This isn't haute-cuisine, but the fries, gravy and curds were perfect; just the right amount of greasy and delicious. A good poutine is almost one solid chunk, and this was right on that line.
Definitely must try if you're in Montreal. All the flavors of Quebec fast food absolutely done right.“

“This is probably one of my favourite places in Montreal. Best smoked meat, great poutine (do try their italian poutine it’s amazing) and a great place to have a classic good old club sandwich for a ok-by-today’s-standards price. They are also my favourite place to order in Pizza; much better than all the American chains. Also their greek is great! Its a great place to go to if not everyone is feeling like the same thing because they giant menu will have something for everyone. Also a great selection of desserts!
Service is always efficient, polite and the vibe is that of a classic good old dinner.“

“The food is always good but I don’t understand why when I pay by debit or credit they still round up my bill for taxes. This has happened last two time I have eaten there. Should only round up when paying cash. Check receipts everyone. Someone is putting Pennie’s in their pocket without most people not noticing or is it a fluke and I’m the only one this has happened to.“

“I don’t go often but there’s something special about the burgers’ flavour that makes me want to eat there whenever I’m in the area. It’s a bit small for the price but the thin bread is a nice concept. Friendly service although I have to advise the manager not to scream at your employees and even less if you have clients around. Overall it’s a good place to have a burger once in a while.“

“Just ate lunch with my son and there was a gentleman by the name of Eric who was cleaning up and wow, he is a hard worker! Very nice and helpful.
Kept bringing us napkins and making sure we were okay and happy.
Someone needs to give that man a raise!
Kept running over to open the door for people coming in and out.
He didn’t stop , was running around wiping, cleaning, sweeping, checking things. Amazing work ethic!“

“This was the very first Lafleur that I ever ate at in early summer of '84, I was living at Allancroft Group Home -- unit Woodside -- and was brought to eat there with a few kids in the unit by a staff member named Tony. We all just had steamies & fries. Heck, it was also the first time I ever had fries that didn't come in a bag made at a factory. I actually wouldn't eat in this location again until approximately around the same time 15 years later with Tony as I was visiting Montreal from Toronto.“

“Pretty good. The service was quick and the food was hot.
The poutine was okay although the sauce wasn't hot enough to melt the cheese.
The gyro sandwich was good. The portion was satisfactory, although it was a little lacking in meat and the slices were not thick enough.
A little more expensive than fast food brands, but a little better and we encourage a local restaurant so it's worth it.
The restaurant was very clean, the toilets spotless and so were the employees.
The lighting is a bit too industrial, even for this type of restaurant.
We should clearly review the color calibration of the television... or even replace it.“

“Place frozen in time! Same decor reminiscent of hospital cafeterias. A long bulletin board of photos of well-known visitors and yellowed business cards. A shabby wall, but clean. A real setting of a hungry worker who doesn't care about the rest! As soon as I pass Chinatown on St-Laurent, the irresistible desire to stop there overcomes me. I need authentic poutine and a steamed hot dog. Their know-how is at another level and unmatched in Montreal. The veterans behind the counter are friendly and remarkably efficient. A few dollars are enough to satisfy me and continue my journey!“

“Royals was a childhood spot for us... I've been going there since 1984!! That's when we moved on Clark street. The sub's where some of the best... The owners Johnny and Steve (might be only Johnny now) had the best pepperoni there was and that made all the difference with the Sub's and Pizza! As many said, it isn't the prettiest place, but for me, its part of my childhood! always good!!“

“One bite of the Jalapeño Dog and you'll be sold: per the other reviews, these are legit the best hot dogs you will ever have and worth every penny. I also had their Possessed Dog, which is now my favorite way to eat poutine! Portions are perfect and the quality matches that; James is incredibly kind and equally passionate about his work. I was also lucky to try their limited Bigfoot Indian Taco and it was fantastic. If you're a Horror/Halloween lover, the atmosphere will extra feel like home for you. #haunteddogscustomer4life“
