The dessert was perfect! Not too sweet or too overloaded with Nutella. The outside was crispy and the inside was soft and chewy at the same time. Really cute inside and cozy. Will definitely return.“

They were so patient and enthusiastic in allowing us to taste a few different flavors. The line was more like a mob in front of the shop and could probably be organized a bit better. “I absolutely loved this cafe (and will be visiting it on a weekly basis). The owners are so sweet & friendly, the vibes are very cute, the desserts are great, and the coffee - which by the way is cheap, is better than most expensive coffees. They also have a piano, and unlike most places that have one that's strictly decorative, they turned off their music, encouraged me to play, and enjoyed listening. I rarely write a review, but this place deserves every good word!“

Mr. Puffs sits in a heavily touristed area, which usually makes me skeptical, but locals insisted, and locals were right. The pitch is simple: this is the best part of a doughnut, crispy outside, soft and warm inside, without any of the dense filler (but I'm sure that's an option)

The menu is pleasantly overwhelming. So many drizzle and topping combinations that choosing takes a minute, and you order by the box rather than the piece. I lean savory over sweet as a rule, so I went in expecting to try one and be done. Instead I ate half the box.

My standouts were the Bueno chocolate and the plain caramel. Eaten hot and fresh, straight out of the box, they're exactly what everyone promised. Light, crisp, warm, ridiculously good.

Nobody is claiming this is health food. It's a fun food, done extremely well, and I'd absolutely eat it again. Zero regrets.“

“Bring the kids to chateauguay usually but we were near by and decided to stop by the Mercier shop. Wish they weren’t always sold out on ice cream sandwiches though as they are the best… the two girls with the glasses who worked recent Sunday are friendly, sweet and support each other. “This small ice cream shop gets very busy at night. There are no seats, so it is a strict grab-and-go spot. I think the place is okay. The flavors are nothing special, but they have a lot of options on the menu. They have frozen custard and many fruit sorbets, so there is something for everyone. The best part was the staff. They were very friendly and nice, even though it was crowded. It is a good spot to walk by and grab a quick sweet treat.“

“Oui, pour avoir soit décollé, soit atterri de MTL à quelques reprises, tout c'est bien passé sans trop de problématiques. Même que lors du dernier retour, le passage aux douanes a été très efficace avec un délai d'environ 30 minutes pour prendre une connexion. Si ça fonctionne toujours de cette façon lors de connexions, bravo !! Mais puisqu'il y a toujours un mais, j'ai oublié un objet dans ce fameux brouhaha... J'ai bien rempli la demande et relancé la recherche à plusieurs reprises concernant les objets perdus et il me semble que les messages reçus sont automatiques avec les mêmes réponses.. on dirait qu'il n'y a aucune interaction avec une ou un responsable sauf une fois.. C'est déjà arrivé à quelqu'un d'autre ?“

“One of my favorite sweet shops in the city. Unfortunately they recently fined due to the following breaches:

$5,000 and $3,500 fines for failing to keep the premises free of contaminants such as insects, rodents, or their droppings (April 29, 2024, and March 21, 2024).
$5,000 and $2,300 fines for not properly storing unpackaged food in clean, elevated containers off the floor.
$5,000 and $4,500 fines for unclean premises, including equipment and sanitary facilities.
$1,000 fine for surfaces such as walls and ceilings that were damaged or difficult to clean.“

The only thing I would mention is that the portions are not standardized. Sometimes, as a client, we may “feel” like we are getting a smaller piece, (especially with the price of one slice) but it may be just a feeling.
