I recently had the pleasure of ordering from Royal Rasoi, and I can’t say enough about both the food and the service. From start to finish, the experience was outstanding.

I was planning a dinner party out of town and needed a menu that could please a variety of tastes—vegetarian and non-vegetarian, spicy lovers and those who prefer milder flavors. Chef Deepak went above and beyond: he personally walked me through the menu, explained the dishes in detail, and helped me curate the perfect combination for my group.

The extra care didn’t stop there. The food was carefully prepared, cooled for transport, and even packed with ice in a cooler they lent me to ensure everything would be perfect for reheating later that evening. That level of thoughtfulness and hospitality is rare and so appreciated.

And then there was the food—absolutely delicious! Each dish was rich with authentic flavors, beautifully balanced, and exactly as recommended. My friends, some of whom are true connoisseurs of Indian cuisine, were thoroughly impressed. Every bite was a hit, and the variety made the meal feel like a true feast.

“This is my 2nd time at the restaurant. This time we were 7 of us and we had a fabulous time. Clean, great regal ambience, Great staff speaks in French and English, Great food. We ordered combos but the food was so generous , we could not finish it,. WE had 4 boxes of left overs to take home. Food was aromatic and not spicy, Staff we lovely. Both were really nice and fresh. Chicken could have been softer but still that didn’t stop me from enjoying the meal. Adding fried potatoes was a nice touch especially with the spicy sauce in the chilli chicken bowl.“

“I ordered Chicken Dum Biryani and Chicken Wings from Hyderabadi Bites, and honestly, it felt like tasting real Hyderabadi dum biryani after a long time! The flavor, the masala, the aroma — everything was just perfect. The biryani had that authentic dum touch which most restaurants claim to have but rarely deliver.

As someone from Hyderabad, I can confidently say this is the closest to the original taste I’ve had in the Montreal. The Chicken Wings were also delicious and well-marinated. If you’re craving genuine Hyderabadi flavours, this place is a must-try!“

“Being an Indian and a foodie, I am always looking for authentic Indian restaurants, and this one definitely made it to one of my favs. I was surprised to see dishes like Laal Maas and Gatta Curry on the menu!!! Kudos to the owner for the bold move of adding authentic Rajasthani cuisine in the menu!
I ordered
dahi kebab = soft inside, crispy outside, perfect chutneys on the side. Melts in the mouth!
Basil Chicken tikka= soft and juicy with the perfect blend of basil and spices.
Laal Maas= Indian level spicy so be careful! If you can handle the heat you need to try this dish! Will definitely go back for it!
Panner methi churma = rich sauce, soft paneer, perfect amount of methi!
Paan kulfi = MUST TRY!!!! This made me nostalgic and brought me back to India! The flavors of meetha paan are perfect in this kulfi!!!

I have celebrated EVERY major milestone, minor milestone and minor inconvenience in my life (since moving to Montreal 4 years ago) with the thali combo and samosa from Bombay Express on St Lau. I do not know any place that offers such incredible value for money, while producing such delicious food. I have tried every single Indian food place in the Plateau and have not found one I like more. I have recommended it to ALL of my friends and they are regular customers now as well.
