“This is my 2nd time at the restaurant. This time we were 7 of us and we had a fabulous time. Clean, great regal ambience, Great staff speaks in French and English, Great food. We ordered combos but the food was so generous , we could not finish it,. WE had 4 boxes of left overs to take home. Food was aromatic and not spicy, Staff we lovely. Over all 5 Star dining and service. I already have a reservation to go back later this month. For future visitors to the restaurant try the Food Combos. Absolutely divine.. !!! Bon appetite a tous.“

“On our fifth visit to Montreal, we decided to stay Downtown due to the winter weather. Our plan was to explore activities and restaurants that were easily accessible from our hotel. We mostly stuck to our plan, but there was one irresistible temptation: taking the metro train just to savor a mouthwatering and wholesome lunch at SpiceBros in Laval. The food quality, pleasant ambience, cleanliness, and the friendly and attentive staff at the counter always draw us back whenever we visit Montreal. On the second last day of our trip, we even encountered some familiar faces at the store who shared our love for SpiceBros.“

“We went to the restaurant on Cartier street. We got a plate to share for two, the portion was more than enough for two people and the food was delicious, it was fresh and cooked to perfection. We had a really good service, the waiter was very attentive.“

“My wife and I went to Mehfil a few days ago. We travelled from Mont Tremblant to eat there. We’ve taken out food from the St Jerome Mehfil location before but wanted to try the location in Laval. Anyway, the shahi paneer was delicious. The tandoori chicken was also very tasty. The naan bread was awesome. The atmosphere was pleasant with some Indian music playing via the tv. I would recommend Mehfil. I can’t wait for the opening of the Mehfil in St Sauveur. ❤️“

“It was a very pleasant experience, the restaurant host was very nice, we ordered from the menu it was evening, thursday, outside was a little cold and so when we got in it was comfortable, the seating was pleasant, clean, nice, simple style, cozy little nice restaurant, I was with my Mother, the food was delicious, I ordered vegetarian thali the saag aloo and dal and pakora, yummy, naan is prepared and cooked good too and basmati also and the paneer and salad and I loved the little extra's, it made it so fun surprising and thrilling, I thank the host, my Mother and I, we appreciate this. The kulfi is yummy, the mango lassi is yummy. I will definitely be coming back, I took a print menu flyer on my way out to then study at home with my Mother what to try out next as I am partially disabled from tbi and a little slow, we spotted some things to try out next, I appreciate there is no beef, it is vegetarian and vegan friendly dishes, there is fish and shrimp dishes, lamb and poulet. Its a very nice place, its a great find in Montreal, I enjoyed coming here to eat with my Mother. The host was very delightful and accommodative, I appreciated the experience, the food, the way it was prepared, I felt better. Price and quality is good.“

“We've eaten there twice. Chicken Cheri and was delicious, also aloo baigan. Mixed vegetables, rice and naan. We liked the Malai kofta sauce, but less the balls. The service was very good. Watch out the front door slams when both doors are open. My hand got hurt by the slam.

“We came to Montreal from the U.S. for a weekend getaway, and one thing was non-negotiable on our agenda—finding really good Indian food. After seeing this place highly recommended on social media, we decided to give it a try, and I'm so glad we did.

It's a small, unassuming spot, but what it lacks in size, it more than makes up for with heart. From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed like family. It's a family-run restaurant, and every single person made an effort to stop by our table and make sure everything was perfect. That kind of hospitality is rare and so appreciated.

We were greeted with a welcome drink, and honestly, I could have happily drunk an entire glass of the gol gappa water they served. It was that good.

The star of the meal was undoubtedly the Amritsari kulcha. One bite and I was transported straight back to the streets of Amritsar. Easily some of the best kulchas I've had outside of India. They were perfectly seasoned, not overloaded with spices, and had just the right amount of crunch. The channa that came alongside was excellent, and the imli and onion chutney was such a nostalgic touch. It's something I've only ever seen served properly in Amritsar, never here in North America.

We also ordered the chole bhature, and I was pleasantly surprised to find that the chole was prepared differently from the one served with the kulchas. Most places use the exact same preparation for both dishes, but not here. The bhature were light, fluffy, and not greasy at all.

The veg momos were another standout—thin wrappers, generous filling, and cooked perfectly. Simple, fresh, and delicious.

The paneer tikka was equally impressive. Soft, tender paneer marinated the traditional way and seasoned beautifully. One thing we noticed throughout the meal was that nothing was overly spicy or loaded with unnecessary seasoning. The flavours felt balanced and authentic, allowing each dish to shine on its own.

The food here doesn't just fill your stomach—it takes you back home. We loved it so much that before heading back to the U.S., we came back the very next day for lunch.

This place satisfied both our heart and our soul. If you're in Montreal and craving authentic Amritsari food made with care, this is an absolute must-visit.“
