“I had an a absolutely fantastic meal here. I selected a combo and it was ample. It was a good sized bowl of curried chicken, a bowl of really good long grained white rice, and perhaps the best naan I have ever had. My eyes being bigger than my stomach I then ordered vegetarian Manchurian. Although it is an appetizer, it probably had 30 pieces.

“Today I have had another wonderful meal by Indien Express. The food was amazing! I have been eating at Indien Express for years, both in their elegant dinning room and ordering out. Every experience with this establishment has been excellent, delicious and without a flaw. I have brought friends and family when they come to visit from out of town and everyone has always been very pleased with the dinning experience. Some have been vegetarian like me, and we there is an excellent selection for various types of the diets. The staff have been courteous, knowledgeable, and very efficient whether in person or on the phone. The very nice lady who delivers my orders has been especially kind and gone out of her way to be as helpful as possible every time. Thank you Indien Express for your wonderful service, and all the wonderful food.“

“We decided to come here as a family for Valentine's Day. Our first time trying this restaurant. Everyone really enjoyed the food, even my kids, who have become picky eaters and aren't used to Indian food. Our son (7yo) enjoyed the chicken fried rice. We ordered the tandoori salmon for our daughter (11yo), which she really enjoyed. She said the sauce (raita) was so good she wanted to drink it! My partner and I also ordered chicken vindaloo, chili lamb, and chicken 65. Everything was flavourful, and not too spicy. The butter naan was fluffy and disappeared almost immediately 😂 I was also amazed by the affordable prices. We will definitely be ordering again!“

“It was a very pleasant experience, the restaurant host was very nice, we ordered from the menu it was evening, thursday, outside was a little cold and so when we got in it was comfortable, the seating was pleasant, clean, nice, simple style, cozy little nice restaurant, I was with my Mother, the food was delicious, I ordered vegetarian thali the saag aloo and dal and pakora, yummy, naan is prepared and cooked good too and basmati also and the paneer and salad and I loved the little extra's, it made it so fun surprising and thrilling, I thank the host, my Mother and I, we appreciate this. The kulfi is yummy, the mango lassi is yummy. I will definitely be coming back, I took a print menu flyer on my way out to then study at home with my Mother what to try out next as I am partially disabled from tbi and a little slow, we spotted some things to try out next, I appreciate there is no beef, it is vegetarian and vegan friendly dishes, there is fish and shrimp dishes, lamb and poulet. Its a very nice place, its a great find in Montreal, I enjoyed coming here to eat with my Mother. The host was very delightful and accommodative, I appreciated the experience, the food, the way it was prepared, I felt better. Price and quality is good.“

I have celebrated EVERY major milestone, minor milestone and minor inconvenience in my life (since moving to Montreal 4 years ago) with the thali combo and samosa from Bombay Express on St Lau. I do not know any place that offers such incredible value for money, while producing such delicious food. I have tried every single Indian food place in the Plateau and have not found one I like more. I have recommended it to ALL of my friends and they are regular customers now as well. “This restaurant makes traditional Indian and Pakistani dishes that are ridiculously good. The cook is some sort of culinary genius. It’s like a parade of delicate flavours dancing through your mouth with every bite. I’ve gone a few times in the last couple of months, and my dinner partners have been equally wowed. The waitstaff are lovely too. My favourite dish is the Palak Paneer! I'm happy I found them.“
