“Oh my God, what a magnificent discovery!!!!! I loved the family atmosphere of this little Mexican restaurant. The food is excellent. The server was friendly. I have only one negative comment, when we taste our soup, wait until we finish it, until we serve it before serving us our main meal! This is the 2nd Mexican restaurant that has done this to me, and it always gives me the impression that they are in a hurry to see us leave. “This place offers authentic Mexican food and flavors. We have tried the burritos, tacos and churros. Everything tastes amazing! Granted the place is fairly simple, and the menu not too extravagant, but the food is amazing. A must go to place!Parking: This restaurant is located in a strip mall and shares a free parking lot.Wheelchair accessibility: Unfortunately, this place is not wheelchair accessible mainly because there is a small entrance with a second door that is not automatic. It is not wide enough for a wheelchair.“

“I’m disabled and found it easy to walk into the place. It wasn’t overly crowded but had enough people to make it feel very lively! I started with the tortilla soup, then had the fish tacos and to drink I tried the strawberry Jarritos and a sip of their margarita which I’d have again on a warm day ☀️ Everything was delicious, the staff was patient and courteous. I felt very comfortable and I’m already planning my next visit for the springtime!“
“This was a nice close walk from our hotel, perfect for tired kids after a long day of walking. The food was tasty and came out pretty quickly. The waiter was nice but really busy and didn’t have a lot of chances to check in with us. Would recommend for families.“

“I love the food and the ambiance! However, the last time I went, we were a group of 4, we received one of the worst services ever: It took over 15 minutes for the waiter to take our drinks order. Then another 10 to come back and take our food order. Was then served our entrée prior to receiving our drinks. Waited another 40 min for our food, when he never entered the order, and additionally he never came back during our time to ever ask us if we needed anything else, or how the food was. In the end, he screwed up my bill and when I told him, his reply was "It's ok". No Sir, it isn't ok (this about 3x) as I had to insist that I was not going to pay for something I never ordered. The place was also veeeerry quiet. Had it been a busy night, I'd have understood, but it was dead.“
“A restaurant that transports me to my beautiful Mexico, the food is incredibly delicious, the tongue tacos are a delicacy, the flank steak with cheese is another level, I had not found a restaurant in all of Mtl with flank steak. The service was impeccable, Mr. Noé was serving us and was very attentive and kind to us, he even ran out of the Sinaloa potato and he looked for a way to make it for me, that is GREAT SERVICE. “We had eaten at another one of Escondite Cerveceria de Barrio restaurants on a previous visit to Montreal, and really enjoyed it. They describe themselves as "Escondite Cerveceria de Barrio are Mexican restaurants situated in Montreal, West-Island, Laval and Repentigny, that serves Mexican inspired goodies and house crafted Tequila cocktails."We'd already had lunch, so the choice of small plates was ideal. We chose some guacamole to start with, followed by some very tasty tacos. “Tried the Pancita and Birria tacos this weekend. It was so delicious and the most authentic Mexican food I have tried here in Canada by far.The price is a little high but its the same everywhere else sadly.I will be coming back to try the Al Pastor tacos.“
“Great discovery! The staff is really friendly and gives good advice. The cocktails and food are really good!!! We were told that there would be drag shows soon, we can't wait to go back for this occasion. “Honestly just a fantastic restaurant, the food is great, the people are kind and welcoming. We order the choriqueso, the ceviche (which is a much larger quantity than we were expecting), the guac and the taco tuesday special and everything hit. The guac was flavourful, the ceviche was a fantastic quantity and quality, the choriqueso made my heart warm. Then the tacos, the tacos were just Chefs kiss. The cocktails are great and will be making this my new second home.“

“A little restaurant in the heart of Plateau with amazing, authentic mexican food for small prices. We discovered this gem on January 1st. The ambiance is really cool, a lot of Mexican decoration and murals inside. We ordered the J'ai faim taco mix and a quesadilla mix. When the food arrived, the dishes looked so fresh and delicious we didn't even think to take a picture, we just dived in. The cochinita was our favourite hands down. We left that restaurant with full bellies and a smile on our faces. We marked the spot because we will definitely be coming back!“

“Excellent empanadas! Hot, fresh and served on the street itself (in summer). I tasted the beef one; tender, crispy, aromatic and tasty. But what caught my attention are the churros... The real ones! They are big, long, filled with holy caramel (the dulce de leche), and ready to explode in your mouth... It's almost... orgasmic.There's no more successful in terms of street food. Nice little grocery store too!“

“**Please note that I previously posted this review to the page of the additional location; however, it was the Rue de William location who worked with us this past weekend! It is not often that one receives customer service that is comparable to Tejano. I recently had them cater a bachelorette party and working with them was incredible from start to finish. Our group was traveling from out of town and I was a bit nervous about exploring take-out options in the city; however, after having thorough communication with Amanda (the restaurant’s manager) I was completely confident that Tejano would be a hit as they were not only well-organized but also customer-centered with flawless communication and flexible with our travel plans which can be such a relief when you’re entertaining a large group. Tejano delivered the food at the time I requested and had prepared a thorough plan to set up a taco bar, which looked stunning. I always say love is in the details and Tejano went above and beyond in this area labeling all of the ingredients with festive fonts and included a special cookie for the bride! The food was amazing in that it was not only super fresh but also uniquely and deliciously flavored compared to standard burrito fare. Each of the twelve people I was with raved about the food and the amazing customer service experience- it was certainly a highlight of our weekend! I wish I lived closer so I could eat at Tejano more often but I can’t say enough good things about the catering and would recommend it for any sort of event you might be planning. But the best part is that they have a grocery part with products that are kind of hard to find unless you live near those latino grocery stores in Montreal. Authentic and Mexican.
