“The Love of Bread caused a small revolution 18 years ago when a Frenchman opened a bakery on the south shore, filling a big gap in this underserved market at the time.It was even said that they had the best croissants at the time (surpassed today by rivals, also French).This branch is the first, the first of 4 others, including Brossard which is now the factory for the satellite stores.Not pretty from the outside, the interior is surprising, bright, spacious, clean and lit, facilitating the movement (to the right) of customers.Prompt, friendly and cheerful service from chic and smiling staff.You will find cakes, breads and pastries as well. In terms of pastries, the choice was rather limited when I went to the store (see photo). My choice fell on the chocolate pear: bigger and better made than elsewhere, I recommend it, very good.As others have pointed out, expansion often dilutes the quality and I also noticed that the texture has lost its crispness, becoming closer to industrially produced bread.It remains an excellent choice for passing through the South Shore and one of the pioneers of bakery 2.0 which has now spread throughout Montreal.We hope they stay in the leading group.“

“It's my favorite dessert restaurant at the moment, I go there every week. I pay less than $10 for 8 scoops and I get my money's worth. It's very sweet, perfect for gorging on. I recommend instamboule as a choice of seasonings.“

“My husband went there a few weeks ago.,picking up a cake we ordered. The service was excellent by a woman named Maria, she was very nice and very helpful, however the owner was screaming at the employees, in front of everyone ! Made the customers very uncomfortable! What kind of boss does that??? Then he went to the taste testing table, the woman there was Louise he thinks. Was telling my husband that the boss is now wanting everyone to sign in if they need to use the bathroom? The food is great the service too but the atmosphere, boss needs to work on!“

Each time, I am speechless in front of his magnificent, unique and personalized creations according to the customer's request. A true artist! And I FINALLY got to taste it last weekend.
