“I’m in Magog for the night and it’s gorgeous out. A falafel and outdoor seating called to me and I’m so glad they did. I really dug this place. The falafel trio was excellent. Big kudos to them for serving fries that really feel like potatoes rather than some distant potato reincarnation. Strong recommend.”

“I was waiting for my prescription to be ready across the street and saw this restaurant, it's exactly what you're hoping it will be. The poutine was excellent, as was the all dressed toasty and hamburger. I'm on vacation in the area for another week and will definitely be coming back. The service was friendly. “Institution in Magog. 50 years old Diner. Small place. Pizza, poutine, spag (traditional Quebecois dining fare) beyond reasonable pricing. Fantastic place to go with kids. Family friendly. Get there around 4:30pm it gets packed by 5:15 and quiets down around 6:15pm.”

“Having a breakfast at Cantine du Lac is like taking a trip back in time: the basic fare of eggs and bacon may not be the fanciest or the healthiest by today’s standards, but the fast and friendly service and the authentic mid 20th century layout and decor make for a very special experience we didn’t expect to find when looking for fast affordable breakfast option that didn’t equal MacDonalds! It’s not often these days you get to walk into a place where everybody knows not only each others name, but their whole life story.”

Il y a une grande variété de produits de qualité de l’Europe, le choix est vaste. Les propriétaires sont extrêmement sympathiques et partage avec générosité leur passion de la bonne cuisine et de leurs produits. Nous avons été extrêmement bien conseillés lors de nos achats ainsi que sur le vin parce qu’ils ont aussi de très bonnes bouteilles de vin. Ce n’est pas parce qu’on est en camping qu’on ne peut pas se concocter un repas de qualité. Un endroit à retourner, ça c’est certain. Merci!”

“We visited this pub on a Wednesday in January. The service was very friendly and very efficient.
The food was of varying quality, but I would highly recommend the onion soup. It is easily the best onion soup I have had in my life, it is truly exceptional.
