LE COMPTOIR Reviews
The waiter was unnecessarily rude.
We went for the breakfast buffet today, and the waiter (an older bald man with a white beard and glasses) came to pour juice into my glass. I asked if it was orange juice, since I have allergies and need to confirm ingredients before drinking anything.
Instead of simply answering, he paused, smirked, pointed at the juice container, and said “What color is this? You can’t see the color? Color blind?”

We had a wonderful experience with the staff—Alexe was particularly attentive and helpful—and the ambiance is charming. However, the culinary experience didn't match the service. The spaghetti with shrimp arrived with very small portions and miniature shrimps - barely visible. It’s also worth noting the buffet is exclusive to children; offering an adult tier would be a welcome change. Recommended primarily for families with young children.
A simple place considered the main restaurant in a luxury hotel
The service is quite friendly. The food is average

Le Comptoir is a restaurant that offers a variety of dining experiences, from breakfast to dinner, in a warm and attractive setting. The ambiance is cozy with low lighting and a comfortable atmosphere, making it suitable for families and groups, especially as it is popular among families with young children. The service is consistently praised for being attentive, professional, and helpful, with staff members making guests feel welcome and cared for.
The breakfast at Le Comptoir, particularly the open buffet at Cuisine du Marché, receives high praise for its high-quality, fresh, and flavorful food. Guests enjoy a good selection of items, including fresh fruits, with some describing it as a top-tier breakfast experience. Servers are noted for their kindness and genuine commitment to guest satisfaction.
For lunch and dinner, the food generally receives positive remarks, especially about the Caesar salad and Lasagna, which are described as tasty and well-made. However, some reviews mention that certain dishes, like the spaghetti with shrimp, are served in small portions with miniature shrimps. The decor is attractive but can be noisy during larger groups, reminiscent of an apres ski setting.
Price points are considered high by some, with a $45 hotel breakfast buffet seen as overpriced with limited selections and average food quality. Overall, Le Comptoir is recommended mainly for families and those seeking a friendly atmosphere, though some feel the value and ambiance could be more upscale to match the prices.
