I used to go to this bakery on a daily basis when I studied at Concordia University in 2017. That was years ago. But I still remember the rye bread, croissant and blueberry Danish pastry here. The memory became fresh again when i went to a family-run bakery in where i currently live, bought the rye bread that tasted similarly. Rye bread always seems to be stale. If they are going to sell bread that is stale then either reduce the price or throw it in the garbage. The quality has diminished substantially and I won’t be going back anymore.

I love having them close by for fresh, inexpensive bread and pastries with many varieties to choose from. Unfortunately all the pastries I’ve tried have a dense, bready texture rather than a flaky texture you would expect. I think they must use the same base for most of them and while it’s not the best desserts I’ve had, they are pretty cheap.
