An unassuming, almost hidden facade tells you that this is a place for people in the know. Not even the name graces the outside. The inside is a classic French lunch place with pastel walls, brass metalwork, and marble tabletops. Combined with an elegant bar and large skylight it all feels very French in decor. The food here is good...not great, good. Best things were the appetizers of Japanese coleslaw and beet salad. Steak frites was forgettable sadly. The service and ambiance was nice and we were well taken care of.

I absolutely adore this restaurant. I plan my visits in advance for special occasions and spend the afternoon before excited for what I might order. I also enjoy going alone and sitting at the bar, which is nice on the way home from being out. My favourite menu items have been the chèvre with confit tomatoes, the steak frites (which I prefer with salad), the house ravioli (French style Italian food will always win me over) and the tartare.
