Mr. DeMassi was a sincere, gregarious, and convivial host who made me feel like an old friend, despite this being my first visit to his cafe. I had a delicious soup for lunch, and was generously offered a samosa as well as a sample of spiced flat-bread - much more than I expected, and very kind.
